Pokemon School - Water Pokemon Assignment!

Today in Pokemon School, there has been an assignment for the classes! Everyone gets to go out on the Ride Pokemon onto the ocean. It's a simple little all day assignment where we get to socialize with people young and old across the classes.

Dressed in clothing suited for actual swimming as well as being on the water, Misty and Professor Kukui are heading up this lesson with Misty's best friend and semi-TA for this lesson Lana!

"All right class, everyone ready? We're going to head out on the Ride Pokemon, so let's get set! Everyone got your fishing poles? We're going to head out to Lana's fishing spot, which is out on the open ocean! It's going to be a beautiful day today, and then we'll head to the site of the Totem Pokemon, Wishiwashi. It'll be a fun day, so please everyone get ready to learn about Water Pokemon!

"It's not too bad right now," said Misty, their teacher as she held out a hand. "Back in Kanto, it would be too cold to swim in the ocean and rivers right now since it's Fall. Some regions of Kanto is actually snow all year around since it's the mountains."

"Duck!" Exclaimed Psyduck, the waterfowl sitting on the Lapras's head.

He's never going to get the taste of salt water out of his mouth. He can feel his cheeks burning a bit because now he's soaked and looks like a drowned rat. Or Ratata as is the case here.

"Thanks." He takes her hand to get out of the water. "Yeah, there's places where I'm from that have snow all year round-you have to get pretty high up in the mountains though." He climbs back up on the lapras.

"Swallowing that much sea water was super rough though."

"Yeah it's pretty temperate around Cerulean City," replied Misty. "And we keep the Cerulean Gym pretty warm since the overhaul. We completely rebuilt it from the ground up."

"Oh yeah? I always get hooked on those uh.. Do-it-yourself shows when May's watching. I just love seeing the before and after-although I've seen some where the before was probably better-Uh! I'm not say the before is probably better in this case-just that uh-I'm gonna stop talking." Peter decides, wringing out his shirt.

"Thanks for helping me out of the water though. I super appreciate it."

Misty laughed as she said, "Believe me, no amount of DIY would have repaired the Gym. It needed a complete rebuild. It doesn't even look like it did a few years ago. I'll have to show you a picture once we're on dry land."

"No problem, I wouldn't want my students to get cold now. Need a towel?"

He just nods, really interested in seeing that before and after picture-if a before was on the table.

"Yeah, a towel would be awesome." He states, trying to un-waterlog himself as much as possible.

"Spina!" Shelob calls, waving over from the lapras she was settled on.

"Well, at least she didn't fall in."

Handing him a towel from her Lapras's pack, Misty said, "Take your shirt off, that'll help it dry for the time being and then dry off before putting it back on. And your Pokemon is pretty good right now. We'll be taking a break at the sand bar soon so we can take a break."

"Thanks." He nods before taking the towel and scrubbing it over his head. He lets out a sigh and pulls the towel off, his curls now more obvious than ever. He'd really rather not take his shirt off but his healing factor will probably take care of sunburns. Probably. He pulls the shirt off and sets it to the side before going about trying to dry off more.

"A break sounds nice." Turns out, having his senses vaguely flipping out because of too much movement he can't actually see is exhausting.

"Yeah." Misty clapped her hands and called out, "Everyone? We'll be taking a break at the lagoon in twenty minutes!"

She smiled at Peter and said, "We'll have lunch too, so don't worry about grabbing food until then."
