Pokemon School - Water Pokemon Assignment!

Today in Pokemon School, there has been an assignment for the classes! Everyone gets to go out on the Ride Pokemon onto the ocean. It's a simple little all day assignment where we get to socialize with people young and old across the classes.

Dressed in clothing suited for actual swimming as well as being on the water, Misty and Professor Kukui are heading up this lesson with Misty's best friend and semi-TA for this lesson Lana!

"All right class, everyone ready? We're going to head out on the Ride Pokemon, so let's get set! Everyone got your fishing poles? We're going to head out to Lana's fishing spot, which is out on the open ocean! It's going to be a beautiful day today, and then we'll head to the site of the Totem Pokemon, Wishiwashi. It'll be a fun day, so please everyone get ready to learn about Water Pokemon!

Ellen let out a relaxing sigh as she fishes off the side of her Ride Pokémon, enjoying the quietness of it all. With the slight hecticness of the past few weeks, it was actually quite calming.

And who knew - she might catch a Pokémon or two!

Kaiba is amenable to a new lesson. He's content to drift along the ocean, occasionally tossing a line. Oh, there's a bite! He eagerly reels it in, pulling the rod up to reveal...

Another tire. Sigh. He adds it to the little trash barge he's towing along. He hasn't caught any Pokémon yet, but he's sure keeping the waters clean.

Sena's out on his own Ride Pokemon, and Yan seems to be his chosen partner for this lesson's exercise. Since she can fly, she seems to be scouting around for any activity on the water's surface...but knowing her personality, she's probably just enjoying herself. Sena himself turns to the closest person he can speak to, a question occurring to him.

"So this Totem Pokemon...what's special about it, anyway?"

He keeps hearing about it, but what makes a Totem Wishiwashi different from a regular one...?

"Ah, you might want to find out for yourself, but Wishiwashi are strong and mysterious things," said Lana with a wink of an eye. She was casting her line into the water as Primarina was sunning herself on the rocks.

"This is where I got my Z-Crystal after all. It's an important place for me."

SO MYSTERIOUS.

Lillie was there with the class, and she was casting her line nearby when she scooted over. "Water Pokemon biting?" she asked curiously.

"Koo!" Exclaimed Snowball cheerfully at Ellen.

"You got your Z-Crystal here...?"

Huh.

"And that has something to do with the Totem Pokemon?"

He's only assuming that since she mentioned it in response to his question, but...knowing Lana, he's not entirely sure he'll get a straight answer.

Zuzu is having better luck, having reeled in a Luvdisc which shone in the morning light. Her rotom took a picture of it before she released it to the wild before she pulled her Lapras towards Kaiba.

"Having any luck?" she asked curiously, noting the trash bin behind him.

"Mmhmm. In fact, these waters are special. You can find every kind of Water Pokemon here. In fact, I even fished up Kyogre once!" Exclaimed Lana.

“Not yet...” Ellen admitted, reaching over to pet Snowball in return. “Hopefully one will.”

"What does it look like?" Kaiba reaches for his wet cloth and wipes his brow, readying the line for another toss. He looks a little frustrated, but tries to smile at her anyway.

"But if I clear the pollution it might draw the Pokémon back here."

"...Um..."

Sena's not entirely sure whether to doubt this or not. On the one hand, he's had enough legendary encounters on his own to not discount any other people's stories. On the other hand...is it actually even possible to fish up a Kyogre...? Aren't they supposed to be huge?

"That's...the legendary Pokemon of the oceans...right...?"

"Teehee~!" Exclaimed Lana, giggling as Mallow sighed from her spot nearby.

"Lana's a bit tease, you should take her with a grain of salt. She says she really did a while ago, and Ash can back her up on it but she says her evidence is a Heart Scale." she said with a teasing smile.

"That being said, you can find the Wishiwashi Totem in here. Just keep at it, and you can possibly encourage it. If your heart is one with the Ocean, then it will show itself." said Lana seriously.

"I'm sure it'll happen soon! Keep at it, and a Pokemon will come." said Lillie. "Lana always said fishing takes patience, and everything will fall into place. It's just as much of a battle as a actual Pokemon Battle."

"Here, let me help." Said Zuzu, casting her line close by.

She waited for a bit, turning a thought over in her head. "I wonder who would be dumping in a area like this? Someone would be pretty mean to be dumping in this area..."

As if on cue, she drew up a piece of broken machinery and she frowned. "Wait... what is this? This looks familiar..."

Kaiba helped her untangle it from the line, squinting at it. Did he recognize such a thing?

"You're telling me."

"I figured as much..." Lana really did seem like the teasing type...but he decides to turn back to the ocean and focus on his fishing rod.

"One with the...ocean...?"

MEANWHILE...! - The Thing That Kaiba Uncovered

Nearby, Jessie, James and Meowth were dumping old robot parts into the ocean.

"Ah geez, this sucks doesn't it?" groaned James, pushing robot parts into the ocean. "It's like we can't even recycle this old junk!"

"It can't be helped!" Exclaimed Meowth, cracking his back. "All of this has been exploded so much, it's useless!"

"Yeah, yeah, it's real tough, shoving this stuff into the sea," said Jessie, sitting in a beach chair fanning herself.

"Wooooobbafett!" Exclaimed Wobbafett, waving his arms at her.

"That's right!" Exclaimed Meowth angrily. "You're just slacking off!"

"I'm SUPERVISING! And now that the pink brat is off at school, we can focus on actually villainy instead of being goody goods again! James you're doting on her too much!"

"I can't help it! She reminds me of Dawn and I kinda liked her," whimpered James.

"Quit bellyaching and shovel more junk!" Yelled Jessie, whacking him with a fan, loud enough to Draw Attention to Themselves.

"It looks..." Zuzu frowned, turning it over and squinting at it. Wiping silt from it, she said, "I'm sure I've seen this before. Can I look at the things you've pulled up Mr. Kaiba?"

“Can’t be too hard, can it?” Ellen asked.

"Oh no, it really isn't. It's a really neat and relaxing and fun way to battle." said Lillie. "I didn't get to appreciate it fully the last time, since I was wearing a full diving suit but now, I get to be outside in the sunshine."

“Wow, really?” Ellen said, blinking. “It was that bad, huh?”

[blue_ice]

"Sure. The barge is sturdy enough, it'll be fine if we don't jostle it too much."

He crawls back toward the barge to help her with the task, lifting pieces that might look similar.
