Island Visits! - Akala Island Tour

Welcome to Akala Island!
It's here that the Fallers have been asked to come along on the boat ride to visit the site of Wela Volcano, on behest of Olivia, the Island Queen. It's here you will be given a tour of the area, and allowed to stay at the Pokemon Center for a week while visiting the area, before heading back to Melemele Island.
It's to both familiarize yourself with the Island, and get to know the Locals, as well as perhaps spend some quality time with the people and places of the landscape. Also, participation in the local Fire Festival has also been announced, to see what kind of ceremony the locals have to honor the traditions of Alola.
WELA SHRINE
It is here that you will visit the site on the first day. Even with or without your Pokemon, this place radiates a serene, sacred harmony. You, as Fallers, are here in the Off-Season, and thus, there are no people around except for you and the three Hikers who are milling about who might have answers for you if you ask further. Olivia is tending to the shrine, giving thanks to the volcano for it's life-giving nature. It is a serene, sacred moment. There's a buzzing feel of anticipation, as people have already begun to visit the site.

FARMLANDS
Many farmlands dot the landscape and one of these belongs to Rango and Sima, their son Kiawe who participated in the Pokemon League last year. They run a Farm which you, as Fallers, are allowed to work at, and live at if you so desire. Taking care of Pokemon, feeding them, shipping milk and other farm-fresh products out of the farm every day is hard but rewarding labor. And you will be paid well, given a place to live, and there is soft serve ice cream on the regular.

PIKACHU VALLEY
The last stop on the list for the middle of the week, is a surprise! At the middle of the week before the real event begins, Kiawe has arranged a visit from a woman named Pikala who brings the Fallers to a place called Pikachu Valley! A place of fun and excitement, there are literally hundreds of Pikachu everywhere.
Some of these Pikachu are up for adoption to people who wish to have a partner, and many of them are very prideful and willful as the Pikachu nature is apparent, but they are friends for life no matter the cost. And Pikala has names for each and every one of them!

FIRE FESTIVAL

What you might believe is a actual festival, is more of a feeling of burning anticipation. Hundreds of people are gathered at the Shrine, as Olivia stands at the front of the Shrine, a ancient looking crown sitting on the Shrine's head. Here, she spreads her arms.
"People of Alola, and those who come from afar! Thank you all for coming! Today, we give thanks to Wela, the life giving power. May its blessing keep us forevermore from being overcome by the raging inferno of Fire. Remember its power, and its strength."
For a moment, there's reverent silence before everyone begins to start milling up the island path, Pokemon out. There's so many Pokemon, not just Fire Pokemon, but Pokemon of all kinds.
Kiawe explains as he and his Charizard stands in line. "The Crown is placed upon the head of the Pokemon who receives it, and it boosts the power of the Pokemon who wears it for the year. Not only that, but it blesses the Pokemon with the protection of Wela. Wela is the live giving source of power of our land. Without it, Akala Island wouldn't be as fertile and nourishing to Alola as it would be. It's a sacred, humble power that we live under, for at any given moment, Wela could take everything from us in an instant."
Kiawe smiled. "That is why, we need to respect it, and never over-industrialize the landscape. Otherwise, Wela will become angry, and destroy the land in raging lava."
Many more Questions about Akala can be asked about this land, and soon, it's the Fallers turn to be blessed by Olivia, one by one.
When the Week Ends
The Boat Ride back to Melemele is an interesting one. You have time to discuss what you've seen. Perhaps new Pokemon friends you've obtained or met. One thing is for certain, there's a new viewpoint on the land you've just walked in. The power of Wela, the Pikachu's who live in the world. The new Fire Pokemon who you have just encountered. All this and more.
All this and more, as the Journey Continues!
To Be Continued!

Wela Shrine
Wela Shrine
It does beat the alternative, she must admit.
She has never been terribly devout in life; nor is she now, though curiosity has gotten the better of her, and she and Gosetsu the Oshawott approach the shrine with what respect she can muster, keeping her precious Pokemon in the crook of her arm. It's a place he seems comfortable with being, so for the moment, he is only making drowsy noises.
"Is there an offering to be made?" she asks, as politely as she can muster. It certainly cannot hurt to do as the locals do. Could it?
Re: Wela Shrine
Olivia smiled, placing a hand on her hip. "Haven't seen you around lately. Getting along here on the tour yet?"

"Gosetsu, have you a thought on what sort of gift we ought to offer?" Local flowers might be nice, and Yotsuyu could easily gather some of those without putting anyone out. And she was certain she could find a fruit seller, as well.
"Wott," Gosetsu grunted, waving a paw in the air. The heat made him lazy, and he was comfortable. Don't bother him too much! Then again, if she was going to buy fruit, that meant he might get a treat, too...
"Oshawott!" he agreed. Yotsuyu just laughed.

She'd been appraised to the fact that all creatures here were Pokemon, quite unlike at home. Though there were those who ate the horsebirds that the Eorzeans cultivated, as strange as that thought was to her. The Oshawott who had been dozing in the crook of her arm straightened and made a noise at her, then.
"No, Gosetsu, I shall not offer up any of your biscuits unless you allow it." She had a few digestive biscuits that she'd procured for him as treats, but still, they were his.

Pikachu Valley
Pikachu Valley
"Did I say you could share them? Hey---"
And now there's a Pikachu sniffing at the stuffy human.
"...what? Go play with Goomy, she likes you."
He doesn't need another cutesy partner. One is quite enough.
Re: Pikachu Valley
"Pika...?" Kisara was a little Pikachu with a long hairstyle.

OTA...
Oops.
On the other, a good number have...definitely taken a shine to her over all! One's even been handing her flowers.
...They're not stopping either, they just wander away, find another one, and bring it over. Another is sitting in her lap, occasionally grabbing her hand and putting it on their head as a not-so-subtle hint to do some ear scratches.
Over all, there's at least five or so pikachu just...Chillin' with the child.

COME AT ME OLIVA
While on Mele Mele, it did not take Yuume long to be pointed toward Kahuna Hala to ask about a good place to continue her workout. Much as she needed to keep up the training with her shadow-state, she can't well give up the physical work either.
So she's trying to figure out...well. Where to do that for the week. At the moment it looks like she's about to ask the Nurse Joy- her audino however, is tugging at her sleeve and pointing to someone who looks Far More Likely to know where to have a good workout!
She has come!
Just the person that Yuume needed to see after all. She was bright and early, with her Lycanroc following behind her, as she placed down an order of delicate looking bracelets. "Here you go Joy. Oh, are you the person that was asking to see me? I'm Olivia."

OTA | Olivia's Training Yard
Right now, she looks more like those Battle Girls, albeit in pastel blue and yellow.
"H-hhhhh-HAH!" And for good reason.
The yard is perfect; warm-up has already been done, so Yuume is easily able to slip into her usual routine. There's some weight lifting, which at one point involves her getting curious enough to try how Olivia herself does it- and results in her hauling a boulder up herself. There's also however, her katas. Yuume's job includes fighting. Fighting doesn't always leave room for a sword. Sometimes you're disarmed- and sometimes, your body is all you have for the fight.
"HUH-! HR-HAHH!"
So she's punching. Kicking. And every now and then, provided she's actually allowed to strike this one...
"HAUH!"
Obviously the rock doesn't break, but there's definitely a bit of cracking there!! (Intense!)

They're walking peacefully when they hear the shouts. That voice---he reaches down to scoop Goomy up, makes a sharp turn, and runs for it, racing around the corner prepared to do something when he sees that no one's in any real danger.
He flips his hair back and stares at his great grand-whatever.
"...oh. Right. Training."

Fire Festival! - Thread Active NOW!
Here, Olivia presents the crown for their Pokemon to wear, and bolster their Pokemon's spirit.
1 Non-Fire Pokemon will receive a Blessing of Bonus Luck for the rest of the Month, and what that entails can be better battling, finding a item of some kind or just simply having a good day with them and their trainers.
1 Fire-type Pokemon will receive a Blessing of Strength for the rest of the Month, allowing them to be capable of feats equal to HM STRENGTH for the duration of the Month.
Those who Olivia places the crown upon without a Pokemon will receive a random Stat Bonus for the day.
Only one Pokemon can receive a blessing, Olivia doesn't have all day and there's a lot of people in line.
Down the stairs, there are refreshments, and a respectful Summer-like Carnival for people with games, and people to enjoy.
Re: Fire Festival! - Thread Active NOW!
"Bow your head dear," she said, and Adora awkwardly did so, and in a rush of power, felt like a million bucks. Adora's luck went through the roof.
"Wow... I feel... great! Thanks!" Exclaimed Adora as Olivia lifted the crown and stepped down. "Yeah, like a million bucks!"
"I'm hungry though, I need to.. oh hey, 200 poke!"

"This kind of thing...somehow, it feels really impressive, right?"
And the Pokemon he picks for the blessing...
"Monta, be respectful, okay?"
Muuu...kya!
A fully evolved Infernape. One that looks experienced enough to not really need the blessing in the first place, but hey. He gets it anyway, and the excitement on the human-sized monkey's face when Olivia places the crown on his head makes it seem like the time spent waiting was worthwhile.
"Just don't get too excited while we're here, okay...? Ack-!"
Too late. Monta's leaping aaaallllll the way down to the carnival, causing Sena to chase after him with his usual absurdly fast speed.
"Montaaaa...!"
Poor kid.

When Olivia sat the Crown upon his head, Torracat stretched out in delight. "Feels great, doesn't it?" he said with a grin.
YUUME
"Diiiinoooo." The ever calm Audino seems just as at peace as ever while approaching Olivia to be crowned, as trainer and pokemon finally reach the front of the line. The crown is set down upon their head, and for a moment Audino is silent.
The crown is removed, and the two step aside with surprisingly little aplomb. "Mnnh? So, how do you feel Audino? Were you nervous?"
The audino shakes her head. ...And then...
"Aaaaaudiiiinooo..." Well from there her ears just twitch while Yuume chuckles a bit.
"Aha...I see..." Maybe they'll see what comes later. For now though, at least they didn't get too anxious right..?
REIRA
Reasonably bewildered. The crown was going on pokemon until now. But now Olivia is telling her to come over from the side instead of watching the line??? And Sophu (She's trying her best with that name) is telling her to go on???
And!! And???
"Umnh..." Well the crown goes on. On her. And for a moment Reira's eyes just widen a little bit- it...Feels a bit like something happened. She's not sure what though, and Olivia no doubt chuckles kindly when the girl looks up in alarm.
"It... ...It changed..." She has no idea what changed, honestly.
But for a good 24 hours, she's not tripping no matter how hard she runs!
Re: Fire Festival! - Thread Active NOW!
"Be respectful, Gosetsu," Yotsuyu told her little friend, and bowed her own head. Not that she wished to be crowned, but so that he might mirror her and receive his own blessing.
Once that is done, Yotsuyu bows politely to Olivia, and takes her Oshawott down to the carnival, to at least spectate.

He'll just sigh, fondly pat her head. and proceed on to the festival. He'll buy snacks for the two of them and watch them play, surprisingly content for the day.
