Network Post

[There's a jingle over the network as a feed flickers to life, and soon the image of Bridge appears, waving as DJ plays a quick trumpet fanfare.]

Thanks for that, DJ. [With a chuckle, he turns his attention back to what he's doing.] Hey guys. My name's Bridge, and I could use a bit of advice.

[Bridge fusses with something just a bit off screen before holding it up, revealing an egg for everyone to see.]

I came across this the other day...and I'm not really sure what to do. Is there a special way to take care of it, or will it just hatch on its own eventually?

I...it, uh, is probably purple.

Sorry, I don’t think that’s a species native to my home region...

Have you tried asking Ash? He’s from Kanto and travelled to a lot of regions.

Huh.

Alright, let's look at what we do know about it... it wasn't in a nest, so it's probably not a Flying type, unless the rocks you found were near a cliff or something.
It's around some rocks, so it could be a Rock or Ground type, or something else really hardy.

The patterns on the egg aren't a kind I'm familiar with, but we can typically exclude Pokemon with no similar patterns on their bodies. So the likes of Grimer and Ditto are out.

I'll try and do more research on it. Colour-based taxonomy is fairly standard...

Whatever it is, I hope it'll hatch safely, it sounds like it means a lot to you already.

That’s also possible, especially if you found no other eggs.

That’d be a big help, yes.

... it’s still kind. You could’ve abandoned it, with no one knowing...

It’s worthy of praise. Noble, even.

Alola might be different, but not everyone is all that kind where I’m from.

[That or it’s just his luck clouding his view of things, but he still means every word.]
