Episode 5: Hot and Cold Flex Off!

Today, the Class is off to the Hot Springs! Until Monday, they’ll be on a school trip to Mount Lanakila, where they will spend two days and two nights at the mountain. Here, the school will learn about the native Snow Pokemon. However…

Kukui frowned in worry at the Mountain which was… suspiciously barren of snow in this area. The ground was green with grass, and it was swelteringly hot. “Sorry everyone! It seems like we’ve got unseasonable weather!” Exclaimed Kukui. “Still, there’s no worry here! Unload your things, get settled in and we’ll still tour the Ice Caves at 2pm! Until then, try and relax. Maybe if you want a nice Heatwave, try out the hot springs!”

No worries everyone, there's plenty to see. Lots of Pokemon still. Though, the people at the Hot Springs could need your help, getting the springs back to working order. The Owner could use people with technical help to look at the pipes, people with strong backs to get the springs in order and at 2pm everyone will go to the caves unless you're helping the Owner.

Post- Event, Ash and Dawn - Prompt 1

Ash clutched his coffee in his hands. Normally he didn't drink coffee but today, it felt right. A reminder of his Sinnoh days and Brock's famous blend, which he had given him before the trip.

Pikachu sat at his side, as he was warming up under a blanket, feeling cold despite the weather. "Do you think it's happening again, Dawn?" he asked quietly, his gaze not meeting his best friend. "Spear Pillar all over again? Trip brought back two Plates. So did Yotsuyu. Tony said they're just like those Infinity Stones of his back in his world."

"Pika..." said Pikachu quietly.

"I don't want anyone getting hurt." said Ash softly. "Maybe it's better if we both took the plates and took off from here."

Dawn let out a sigh - seeing the Plates sent shivers down her spine. If it wasn't the Spear Tower again, it would be the whole Jewel of Life incident. As she cradled a can of soda, she watched as her Piplup balanced the Beast Ball now strapped to its back, flexing once more in victory.

"You know we can't do that, Ash!" Dawn said, lightly chiding him for making such a suggestion. "Maybe... maybe another time we could have, but... these Fallers are different than normal Trainers. They can help us. We need their help."

"I know that, I was just..." Ash let out a sigh, rubbing his head as he set his coffee down onto the table and buried his hands in his face.

"I had a plan. Go back to Pallet Town, see the world... and then the first Faller appeared and it threw our whole Vacation out of whack. Lillie couldn't go on a trip to find her family, Lusamine is doing her best to contain the situation, everything's a mess, I'm actually doing paperwork, we had to ask Brock, Misty, Gary, May, Cynthia to come and teach..."

Ash slumped to the couch. "Is it just me, or am I sounding really unlike me lately? Or am I just... tired? Like, I don't know what I want right now because everything's so insane?"

Dawn closed her eyes in thought before she came up with an answer. "I think you are tired. I think you've never gotten the chance to relax. I can see it in that pink-haired girl's eyes, the eyes of someone who just wants five minutes of peace and quiet and the world isn't letting you have it."

"I betcha if you asked around, you'd have people saying the same thing."

[acmellash]

"Serena? Yeah, I heard you did something for her. Thanks for that. She came home really rested and happy about it. Thank you for that, Dawn."

Scooting over, Ash wrapped a blanketed arm around his best friend and hugged her. "Arceus I missed you. It hasn't been the same since we separated you know? Sure everyone's been great and I love everyone on the island but it hurts when my old friends just can only visit for a short period of time."

Ash sighed deeply. "And... Kalos you know? Serena told you about it."

And Dawn moves to rest her head on Ash's shoulder. "Yeah, she told me all about it. All five cans of super-caffeine-infused drinks of it. Poor girl was a mess, you're a mess..."

And both her arms wrap around Ash tightly.

"We all need a bigger vacation and I just got here..."

Ash leaned against Dawn's hug. "The last few weeks, no, months have been maniac. I really do need a vacation. Hopefully with the Galar Trip planned for school, it might be a good idea to get ready for that."

He frowned. "Though I shouldn't be worrying too much. And learn to delegate."

"Yeah, I think you've been doing too much and trying to do things on your own. Don't need to do that anymore." Dawn said.

"Yeah..."

Leaning against Dawn, Ash asked, "Hey Dawn? Remember when we would just camp out under the stars? I do miss those days. Just traveling. Alola's great and all, but sometimes I do miss it. I was really looking forward to traveling, so Professor Kukui is organizing that trip to Ryme City. I hear we're meeting with a gym leader from that region."

"Oh, wow, really? I'd like to see someone from around there. Galar, right?" Dawn said.
