It's Sunday which means its cleaning time at the Bewear House. While they're doing laundry, Ultimate Maid is documenting it for posterity while Meowth cleans. "And dis is how you scrub stains out--hmm?"

Meowth holds up two cards which are covered in suds and brushes it off, revealing horrified images of two young teenagers. "Gross," he said. "Hey Zuzu! Ya need to empty your pockets first before we do laundry!"

"Hmm?" Zuzu's feet came into view. "What's up Meowth?"

"Dese weirdo trading cards of yours fell of youse pockets," he said, holding it up for Zuzu to take. "I know it's Halloween but sheesh!"

Zuzu literally drops the stuff she's carrying in shock. "Oh my gosh," she gasps, going chalk white. "I... forgot about them I'm so sorry...!"

Grabbing the cards, she turned to Ultimate Maid. "Maid, connect me to Yuzu this is important! Yuzu! Yuzu! Check your front pockets, Halil and Olga might be in there still! It's an emergency! Don't do your laundry!"

And it seems it that moment, Yuzu was getting ready to do just that when Zuzu contacted her.

“Don’t do my laundry? Why would I...? Oh, no!”

And Yuzu’s diving into her clothes, trying to find those cards and digging them out. “How could I forget them?!”

"I forgot about them too! Oh my gosh this is so bad."

Sinking to her knees, Zuzu held her hand over her mouth. "I think I'm going to be sick...!"

"Not on the floor youse ain't!" Exclaimed Meowth, running to fetch a bag. "Here, breathe in and out."

“Zuzu, it’s not your fault! God, not my fault either.” Yuzu said, trying to calm her counterpart. “I mean, everything went crazy for both of us and...”

And Yuzu’s slumping.

“Why didn’t we give them to someone else? What possessed us to keep them?!”

[melodiouspun]

"I don't know, I just... we panicked and things HAPPENED."

"I think just everything went wrong all at once and we had no idea where to turn. Oh my gosh this is so wrong..."

“O-okay, deep breath, just...” Yuzu said, shaking her head. “Y-yeah, this is all kinds of wrong and...!”

[melodiouspun]

"Gosh I know... hold on a sec, I got someone on the line. Two moments, they keep calling."

[For a tense five minutes Zuzu is on the other line. Hold please.]

[And Yuzu’s kinda worries now. Who else is there?]

[Zuzu comes back, ashen as a ghost.]

We need to meet with Yuume at the Aether Labs pronto. She can undo this, but we need to help them asap.

We got time?! Ah, jeez...! Aether Labs, right?

[She has no idea they're people. All she heard, after all, was 'weirdo trading cards'. It's never That bad to connect to same-world sorts after all right?]

Back home there were... multiple incidents of people being turned into cards. These are two of them, Halil and Olga. I just... forgot... that they were in my pocket all this time and I'm just the worst.

[She looks really pale and distraught right now.]

Eh? T...Turned into cards..?

[She blinks, frowns, and starts doing some mental math.]

...Ahh...Zuzu? Would you happen to be familiar with 'parallel dimensions' where you are..? Not other worlds- just dimensions.

I was literally in the Synchro Dimension before I arrived here. Why'd you ask?

Oh...I suppose that answers it...

I had wondered if we shared worlds, or at least similar rules, [She adds, recalling that there was 'Yuzu' to consider as well,] ...but this makes it a bit easier to place you.

Much easier, actually... ...Genuinely, I think the second dimensional war would have gone much better if they used the academian tactics from the first...or perhaps not... [Hard call; cards could come back, at least.]

If you can help de-card them or whatever, but then we'll have... four more Fallers in this world. Oh my gosh I can't imagine how much recovery they'll need.

As much as I understand the concern, if it's anything like similar cases by my time, the longer they're in that state, the more you would risk brain damage...so it may be best to at least try.

On top of the time I've been here in Alola? That's been nearly three months now.

So at the very least, they should be alright- we just need to work to get them out, neh?

Can we borrow your Duel Disk to study the carding function?

We've run into a little... problem. Turns out I've been holding onto a couple of carded people from my world. Me and Yuzu. for the last few months. We can explain! Really!

[Because no he's not going to let just anybody take his duel disk, let alone take it apart and piece it back together willy-nilly. Shay almost bristles at the thought.]

Yuzu is... another me. Like, not like Celina. Like, literally another me. Yuzu is Zuzu, from another parallel dimension. Me-me. A me who has experienced the same world and is, well, holding these.

[She holds up the carded Halil and Olga with a wince.] We had them in our front pockets. Surprise? We want to get them out.

And we need your help Shay, please? We need to try to get them out, so we need a Disk that used to work so we could study it and try and reverse it! Do it for everyone who suffered please? Please?

[On the topic of those cards tho, he peers at them but his expression doesn't shift into any sort of judgemental look. Why should he expect the worst from someone who came from Standard after being totally wrong the first time?]

Thanks Shay. We're meeting up at Aether Labs with Yuume. Gonna call Tony and Kaiba too to get their heads in on this, and contact Wicke and Faba.

The more heads on this, the better. I really appreciate this. Yuzu and I feel absolutely horrible we forgot all about them. We want our friends out of these cards as soon as possible.

[She smiled, relieved at his assistance.] We'll get your Disk back in one piece. Did you want to borrow mine? I think Kaiba's done with mine? I'll have to ask, he's probably done studying it.
