Peter's first day back at school comes too soon as far as he's concerned. It's not that he doesn't like school-at the very least he doesn't have to worry about Flash it's more that he just really doesn't like sitting in the same place for long. Plus he's gotta sell an injury that healed up days ago. He makes a face at the wrist brace that's restricting his movements and rolls his eyes before continuing on to school.
He happens across one of Team Skull's bake sale tables and figures since he has a little time he can afford to get a quick bite. Everything is fall themed so he goes for a few pumpkin spice cookies. They're pretty good. Shelob's watching him apprehensively though. Did he do something wrong?
"C'mon on it's just a cookie. I'm fi-" He makes a face because very suddenly it feels like he's not getting air and his throat itches, he itches. What was in that cookie?
"I"m showing there is cinnamon and ginger in most pumpkin spice recipes. You should use the inhaler." Dwayne informs him.
"What?" Peter coughs, feeling maybe a little woozy. Maybe he should sit down or something? "I didn't bring it."
"Spina!" Shelob says angrily and worriedly. She glances around quickly and crawls over to the doughnut stand to very quickly explain the situation.

"What is it Meowth?" asked Jessie, looking up from the chair she was leaning back on while reading a magazine. "Can't you see I'm busy? I'm on break!"
"Dere's a kid having a allergy attack from da Team Skull cookies across da road!" Exclaimed Meowth. "Dis Spinnerak said so!"
Jessie's eyes narrowed as she put down her magazine and said, "James, hold the fort. Get Zuzu to cover my shift."
Tossing her hat to the side, and apron, she left the truck as she went over with the medical kit. "Oh it's you," she said with a sigh, bending down. "What'd he eat Meowth?"
Meowth asked Shelob what he ate.

Peter waves it off like it's nothing despite the fact he sounds like he may or may not be having trouble breathing.
"He's supposed to have an inhaler for these things. He doesn't think he needs it. Or the bracelet that monitors his vitals." Dwayne supplies.
"Didn't know-" Cough, scratch, cough. Ugh. "-There was Cinnamon in it."
"Or Ginger." Dwayne adds. "Sending a message to Stark and Jenny now."

Jessie pressed a device against Peter's elbow and it hissed, sending a wave of cold up his arm. "There, that should stabilize him for a bit, it's a Team Rocket field drug and DON'T YOU DARE eat that cookie right now. That's just a shot of Cortisteroids to stabilize the reaction. But we're going to get him to the doctor. Help me out Meowth, Shelob."
Grabbing him by the ankles, she started dragging Peter towards the hospital.
"Kids these days," Jessie grumbled.

Shelob goes on to tell Meowth about Peter and his his dislike for needles and to careful because he's a lot stronger than he looks. She then stringshots the cookies to pull them away from Peter since he can't be trusted.
"Spina!" She offers them to Meowth.
Amazingly, what ever it was that Jessie gave him, seems to help clear him up again. He doesn't feel nearly as itchy and he can breath. He's not sure how long it'll last but he'll take it for now.
"Hey! I can walk, you know!" Peter protests as he's pulled by his ankles. How degrading. He grabs the ground and sticks to it to at least get her stop dragging him so he can stand up!

"Who even knows?" wondered Meowth. "It's going to be a long day isn't it?" he asked Shelob.

Shelob just sighs and nods at Meowth's comment. Everyday is a long day with Peter Parker. He's a great kid but very reckless and kind of a constant cause of stress.
"I don't know-I kinda don't? I mean it depends on your definition of danger, I guess."
no subject
"And you just HAPPENED to have a cinnamon and nutmeg allergy. Obvious much? And then I recognize Shelob."
no subject
"Spina..." Shelob just sighs. Why is this boy like this.
"And Ginger!" Dwayne supplies helpfully. "H really needs to find a girl that'll take good care of him. I worry."
"Would you stop it with that? I don't need a girlfriend!"

"Woooooobbafett!" Exclaimed Wobbafett, having sneaked up to them with a donut. "Wobba?"
"Hey now Wobbafett, James and I are doing just fine thank you!" She snapped, grabbing his donut and shoving it into her mouth much to his protests. "Besides, it's none of your business."
"Right," remarked Meowth. "In anywho, we should at least let yer human know dat he should wear his medic alert bracelet or sumthin in case dis happens again, Shelob."
no subject
Shelob agrees with Meowth, still scuttling along with the odd group and explains how well taking Peter to get the skin test had gone and the fact Peter keeps leaving the inhaler and medic bracelet on purpose because he thinks his healing factor renders those both obsolete. He's the only one that thinks so.

Jessie smirked. "Look kid. I might be out of a official Team Rocket Job right now, but I'm still Team Rocket. I operated at the highest echelons for an entire year. Don't sell me short."
Meowth sighed. "He's stubborn huh. Those two don't even render someone immune to disease! He can't go without them, it's impossible-nya!"
no subject
Okay, Okay all that was pretty strong circumstantial evidence, he'll admit that but he's not ready to just let everyone know he's Spider-Man.
"No one knows how old Spider-Man is though cause he wears a mask and he could be anyone." Peter tries to convince her she's wrong and then lets out a sigh because it's clearly not working.
"Look. I have to keep my identity secret okay? It might not be such a big deal here but it is back home and if someone finds out who I am they might try to go after my Aunt and she's the only family I have left-please don't tell anyone."
no subject
But Jessie softened for a moment in the middle of the face stretching. "Look, kid. I know you're worried about your family. But you need to relax. James has set up Team Rocket radio scanners around the city. If there's any Rainbow Rocket Chatter, we'll find it. Okay? Relax a little, and try not to be so JUMPY."
And she let go with a audible snap of Peter's cheeks.

"If Mr Stark's working on it though-it's really only a matter of time before he works it out." Tony did figure out time travel, after all. Or. Will.
"And I can't really stop being jumpy. It's kind of a side effect of... stuff." Damn, that really, really hurt.
no subject
"Look, I dunno what your past trauma was to put on a suit, tights and fight crime, but just try to trust in your friends a little more. It worked for everyone else in the past, giving yourself more time to listen to people and helping them out won't hurt much."
"Kid, Jessie doesn't give encouragement much, you should probably listen to that." said Meowth. "She's rarely honest."
"Oh put a sock in it Meowth!"
no subject
"And for the record-I'm pretty sure my problem is that I'm too trusting-that always seems blow up in my face somehow."
no subject
"Meowth's got a point, no matter how annoying it is." said Jessie. "If you let the bad things in your life take over, you'll never recover."

"I mean, sure? Better than I was, anyway."

Turning to Peter, he added, "Kid. At least wear your medic alert bracelet. Shelob's real worried fer ya. If you have a strong nuff allergic attack, ain't nuttin yer healin' factor will mitigate. You're gonna die from it. Do it fer Shelob. Please. She's yer friend. Not fer us."
no subject
"Fine. I'll wear the stupid bracelet." He caves. Shelob rolls her eyes because human teenagers are a thing.

"As long as I don't have to carry a epipen wherever I go, I'll be more relieved." said Jessie, packing up the med kit.
no subject
"Yeah... uh... thanks. For helping me out." Peter says sincerely. "I um... I guess it was a pretty bad reaction. But in my defense, I didn't know that there was cinnamon in pumpkin spice."
