Alola Farmers Harvest Festival!

There's been signs leading up to the announcement and the four islands have been hard at work preparing for such an event. The four islands have been preparing their ferry's for such an occasion all week, but now, it's finally here! The Alola Famers Harvest Festival has begun!

From the Week of the 10th to the 15th, the Farmers Harvest Festival will be available. This means that not only the people of Alola will be celebrating the turn of the season with a huge All-Four Island Farmers Market in the four major town ports, but also there will be music, dancing, and all kinds of adventure just waiting to be found.

But there has also been a surprising upswing in sightings of special Pokemon in the area.

Pokemon from Galar, Alcremie in all of its various forms have been appearing across the islands, drawn by the food and fun. However, some of them are up to mischief and can be found in various spots of the island, stealing food and/or possibly making trouble.

It's up to you to find and deal with these Alcremie as you see fit. But be careful, one of them might have a surprise in store for those unaware!

Towards the end of the week, there will be a surprise appearance from a famous chef duo, one from the Sinnoh Region's famous Seven Stars Restaurant!

Roman and Kylie will be offering a chance to cook a full 7 Course Meal for anyone who can defeat them in battle, for them and their party. Of course, the opportunity is open to everyone involved. All you have to do -- is defeat their champion. Who is their champion? Well, we'll just have to see about that!

Have fun everyone! And please, enjoy!

"We can't let them fire that off..."

Seeing the Snorlax cover for its teammate reminds Sena of Kurita, of that indomitable protector. It only makes him all the more determined to win.

"We'll meet that defense head on! Devil Bat Dive!"

At that command, both of his Pokemon run forward. It honestly looks like they're just aiming to divebomb Snorlax directly by teaming up with each other, but that can't be it, right?

When Monta comes close, it looks like he's about to try and use a Close Combat attack, as he tenses his muscles and prepares to throw a punch. But at the last second, Monta steps back and pivots on his foot while using Double Team - the same type of complicated footwork that Sena's mastered over the years. It's a feint that Monta uses to suddenly catch Nin mid-flight and throw her in an attempt to get her past Snorlax, but with both of his Pokemon using Double Team at the same time, one Nin suddenly becomes two, four, eight...

And they're all using X-Scissor to try and get past Snorlax and stop Girafarig in its tracks.

Monta screeches in pain as he manages to land on his feet, but the arm that Hyper Beam hit is burnt and sore from that brutal impact, and it's his favorite punching arm to boot. He growls as Sena calls out support.

"Monta, Nin, can you go on?"

They both growl out affirmative answers, although Nin herself looks somewhat dazed from being used like a missile. Sena clenches his fist, even with a 2 vs 1 advantage, this looks rough.

And then Snorlax uses Quick Attack.

What the absolute flying fuck indeed. You know, if Sena was the type to use that language. He's not, so he's imagining the Devil Bat Mascot in his head saying it instead, because that's very much his inner Hiruma voice.

"Monta, don't let up! Devil Light Hurricane!"

Monta lets out a screech, before erupting into flames and barreling forward. It looks like since his main way of boosting his speed with Mach Punch is out, he's going for greater maneuverability and power with Flame Wheel instead. As he comes closer, however, Monta suddenly changes direction, feinting to one side without losing speed.

Then he bursts out of his own attack, suddenly changing into using the Close Combat move he had faked out before. Seems like he's aiming to hit Snorlax either on its side or its back using the Flame Wheel as a decoy.

It's almost surreal to see a Snorlax, of all Pokemon, being able to dodge on an even footing with Monta. So much that he barely registers the fact that it jumps, and with enough force to avoid Monta's Flame Wheel bluff.

The command for Earthquake comes, and Sena flinches. Nin can fly, and she's gotten out of the way thanks to Monta drawing in the attention towards himself, but Monta...

"Nin, Screech once more! Monta, jump!"

Nin tries to unnerve the Snorlax's focus for the Earthquake with its loud screech, but there's not much you can do to stop a falling Snorlax to begin with...Monta prepares to jump and try to complete his Close Combat maneuver, but...?

"M-Monta!"

To see his first partner Pokemon sprawled out like this...well, it's not an unfamliar sight, but it never feels good to take a loss. But they let themselves get taken in by that Snorlax's pace, so maybe this was inevitable in the end.

"Hah...you did a great job, Monta...take a rest."

He recalls his Infernape before looking at Nin and nodding. This is...bad. Nin mostly tends to run support, so who knows how well she can hold up against this powerhouse. All he can do now is trust in her speed. She's been slowly getting faster all battle thanks to her Speed Boost ability, so...

"Let's finish this quick, Nin!"

The Ninjask buzzes in reply.

"Yeah? Well, we'll make sure what we're feasting on is a victory meal!"

That's not much of a comeback, Sena.

"Nin! No matter how fast that Snorlax is, we know the true strength of speed! Don't forget that...now, scramble!"

Even with the weird terminology, it's obvious that what Sena's ordering to do is a last minute gamble of some sort. Nin, by all reason, should be flying as high as possible, taking advantage of her speed and staying out of Snorlax's reach.

Instead, she flies close to the ground, splitting into several Double Teams like she's done all battle.

Then, all of a sudden, she fires a series of Air Cuttters at the ground near Snorlax's feet. It brings up a cloud of dust to mask her movements - and it looks like an attempt to trip the behemoth up, too.

"Nin, don't let up! This is your chance! X-Scissor!"

It shows that things have come down to the wire, that Sena isn't bothering with tactics now - just pure speed and footwork flight, letting Nin's training and instincts guide her.

Several Double Teamed copies of Nin fly out of the smoke, weaving around each other in rapidly escalating patterns.

Then they all dive down, forelegs crossed with the telltale energy of X-Scissor running through them.

It was tense for several moments until Snorlax fell over, and even then Sena's left numb with shock for a few moments after the referee's declaration. However, when he does realize that he's won, he lets out a surpising "OOOOOOOOOOOOH!" victory cry, almost startling coming from such a small guy. It's a common celebration for someone who plays football like him, but for anyone happening to witness the battle, it's somewhat alarming.

Nin sees nothing wrong with this, however, and cheerfully buzzes around his head. "You did great, Nin! It's been so long since we've - hang on -"

Sena immediately turns to Kylie and Roman, bowing courteously. It's a sharp contrast to his almost wild celebration earlier, but it's just as earnest.

"Thanks for being a gracious host, it's been a long time since we've had a battle like that..." He straightens up, grinning.

"I'll do that, thanks!" oh man. feast time. he's got a full party that's ready for some food.
