Something Strange In The Neighborhood

It seems that today, there's an influx of people at the beaches.

There's an assortment of trainers at the beach, along with a contingent of people from the Aether Foundation taking notes led by Wicke and Faba.

Around the way, there's a bunch of Pokemaniacs all milling and yelling about the Great Kanto Lighthouse Pokemon who has arrived to grace the shores of Alola.

There's Scientists who have come from far and wide to study this phenomenon and there are Aether Foundation members assisting Faba and Wicke.

"Seems like everyone's here," said Faba disparagingly as he set up a scanner for Ultra Holes.

"Can't be helped. You sure you saw the great dragon here, Faba?" asked Wicke.

"I did! One of the Fallers was riding it." said Faba. "But I didn't get his name..."

"Well, we'll just have to deal with this for now!" Laughed Wicke.

For now, the beaches will be more crowded than usual for the beginning of the month!

Kaiba was just out for a leisurely stroll on the beach with his Pokémon. It was even a little jog. Since their flight a few days ago, Goomy had shown more interest in becoming stronger. She wanted to be a big, strong dragon like Blue Eyes, and Kaiba was definitely in favor of helping her grow.

They crossed the sands together, though he paused at the sight of the swarm on the beach. He ducked under a nearby umbrella out of habit, hearing whispers about a legendary dragon sighted in the sky recently. They couldn't mean...ugh.

Best to just get out of here. He ducked this way and that, hoping he was wrong about what was going on here.

Hello, is that a wave of unease?

Reira has come to see the wave of unease in action. Or maybe not. On that note, she stares for a bit as the mutterings go on up ahead, before blinking slowly.

"...why are you hiding..."

Kaiba hisses like a wounded animal. Oops. He crouches and grabs her hand, quickly dragging her behind him to duck behind the nearest tent.

"The scientists don't know it yet, but they're after me. I'm not submitting myself for questioning. There's no legendary dragon, it was just a projection of my Blue Eyes."

"Umnh-!" Wait No Why are they going THIS WAY!

"...why would questions be bad..." ...Well. Reira works to get her hand back if it's not Already back, shrugging off her own question. Whatever then. When Seto finishes, Reira's already determined what she has to do.

Yes she's making a beeline for the researchers.

The researchers are of course, looking around, not paying attention to the small child when they do finally notice her. "Oh, what are you doing here?" asked one of them. "This is a research area."

"I know what the dragon is."

Reira doesn't hold back any punches when it comes to Stating the Truth.

"Say what now?" instantly Reira was surrounded by researchers, and not a few Pokemaniacs.

"Any thoughts would be welcome!"

Oh no. Kaiba is cringing internally from his hiding space. He's prepared to run at the first opportunity, bur part of him is still worried about the girl. She maybe didn't know what she was getting into.

Reira just holds out her duel disk.

"'S a hologram. Duel disks make them so you can ride on them..."

Ah, but how Believable are all of those words..?

"Holograms... like... Porygons?"

Oh dear.

"Yeah, like a giant PORYGON!"

"OH YEAH! A GIANT PORYGON!"

Reira is frowning heavily. "...porygon don't live in my world though...the hologram was from stuff in my world..."

Sadly, Reira's voice is not that loud against a Sea of PokeManiacs. Maybe she can convince the researchers, but is the internet going to buy the words of the scientists with the government backing??? Don't Buy The Lies Mareeple

"But holograms are always in our world by Porygons thus it is a GIANT PORYGON WHICH MADE IT FROM ULTRA HOLES!"

NO.

Reira, frowning even more heavily, wordlessly clicks her duel disk onto her arm.

It shoots out its blade, ready for action.

"No."

Someone stop her before she summons something,

"Okay, okay, that's enough everyone," said Wicke, coming over and clapping her hands. "Let's all calm down here."

Reira, frustrated child that she is, just pouts. "...I have proof though..."

This isn't fair, they're going to tell lies.

Bridge couldn't help frowning as he noticed the crowd at the beach, trying to pick up bits and pieces of conversation amongst the gathering. It was a bit more difficult than usual, with so many people talking over each other and all at once, but he was able to make out a few things here and there.

And though he mostly stayed on the outskirts of the crowd, he lingered a bit, just to see if anything might happen.

Wicke was working on her own instruments when she noticed Bridge nearby. Smiling, she waved at him. "Hello there," she greeted with a smile. "Come to check out the strangeness?"

With a smile of his own, he returned the wave. "Kind of hard to avoid, really," he said with a chuckle. "What's going on?"

"Ah, there was a sighting of a huge silver dragon," said Faba, adjusting his glasses as Wicke nodded. "So much of the scientific community went wild. Aether Foundation however is out here, trying to ensure the startled Pokemon from the incident are safe."

"A dragon?" he said. "You sure it wasn't just another one of those dragon Pokemon?"

He'd heard that a few of those existed.

"If it was a Pokemon, it was definitely an uncategorized one," said Faba, adjusting his glasses. "It was huge, silver, and I saw it with my own eyes!"

"Hmm...so if not a Pokemon, maybe it was something that came from another world?"

There were a lot of them coming in now, after all.

"It is possible, but it's got the scientific community up in excitement," said Faba. "Whatever the case, it's cause for excitement and glee."

He rubbed his hands as Wicke chuckled weakly. "We'll be running some tests for a new Ultra Hole."

"Ultra Hole? Those are the things we fell out from, right?"

"That's right," replied Faba, placing his sensor down and jamming it into the sand. "Normally we have sensors set up for this, but we didn't get a reading. But I saw it with my own eyes!"

"Faba is convinced it is Faller related. Ultra Holes connect to other worlds, so this could be related."

Glancing at Faba, Bridge nodded.

"I think it'd be a safe bet. There are all sorts of things in different worlds. I know back in my own, there are dragons that exist. But they're pretty hard to find, because they can disguise themselves as people or other beings too."

"How interesting!" Exclaimed Faba. "Here, our dragons are Pokemon, which is what we're trying to determine>"

He nodded again, thinking for a moment.

"If there wasn't any readings for a new Ultra Hole opening up, though, maybe the dragon had already been here for a while?"

"He might have been," said Faba thoughtfully. "We'll have to check further, and see if it came through one without our knowledge."

"How would you check for that, though?"

[fallers_npcs]

"Residual energies, sightings in the previous regions, mostly information gathering," said Wicke. "Using resources from our world to collaborate things."

"Ah." Mostly things they probably wouldn't really handle. "Well, uh...good luck with that."
