1+3, More Than What You Can See!
With the dimensions in a magical state of reconstruction and repair that could last for quite a while, knowing that friends and doubles of friends were here on Alola means that Yuya decided he was here to stay for the time being.
Right after he took it to a vote with certain someones he's collectively nicknamed 'peanut gallery' (all in good fun) of course.

A - The Name Game
The teen also has more than enough strategies to utilize for making it seem like he's not talking to himself every so often. Thanks to a little blue seal riding on his head and a mishmash bird dragon following beside him, speaking toward his new Pokemon friends is quickly becoming a go-to favorite.
So you might find him on the street, at this moment chattering away to his counterparts and new team alike. "Two Pokemon now and I still can't find the perfect names! Who knew this would be so hard huh?"
His Popplio bwarks in place of whichever one of the boys makes a comment as Yuya scratches under his new dragon's chin, which has the Dracozolt... purring? Rumbling?
"Blue is a bit on the nose isn't it...?" Yuya bites his tongue for a moment as if trying to keep his opinion quiet on something. Then someone else apparently chimed in within his head because he's back to smiles. "... Yeah maybe we could go with Razz, like a blue raspberry!"
---
B - Do You like Waffles?
Does Yuya like pancakes? Heck yeah, he likes pancakes! And his Dracozolt being so new to everything in the world is just convenient enough for him to suddenly blurt out, "Don't get too excited here okay...?"
The mutant peers back at their trainer almost confused, but the awkward chuckle coming from him and lack of total composure on Yuya's face immediately says everything. Three guesses as to who the tomato must've really been talking to, the first two don't count.
"That doesn't mean you're being left out! Come on let's find a seat that'll fit you, Biribiri."
---
C - Wildcard
Alternatively, one could run into Yuya while he's checking out the Pokemon School. Or while he's on the beach, practicing some ideas for some real dueltaining battle strategies!
[Got something else in mind? Come at me!]

"UAAAAGH!!!!!!!"
-and he screams.
And it's smack dab while they're all still the middle of public too.

(Surprising that the 'stranger' is remarkably calm about this.)
Yuya quiets down amongst the incredible embarrassment and struggles to find a response that isn't another bout of screaming. "Well! What... HOW are you here, Zarc?!"
OH DID SOMEONE SAY ZARC? A certain quartet of card spirits abruptly decide to pick up where he left off- glowing from within Yuya's deck box and letting out a chorus of wordless roars, rumbles, vaguely whale-like trilling only audible to those that can hear the voices of card spirits. Their emotions collectively booming with confusion, surprise, yet excitement at the same time.

But apparently the dragons are collectively not having it until they see the weird-sounding old master. So regardless if 'David' is who he says he is or not, the young man looks way more normal than Yuya would've expected of the guy right now. Surely that's a good sign.
"Yuya Sakaki, from Paradise City...!" he says with a stilted (or forced) cheery tone while choosing to sit down at the table and pull out the still glowing cards that one by one become less boisterous as they finally get to 'see' David for themselves. Apparently trying to salvage an already disastrous first impression.
He doesn't address the card spirits as the dragons finally allow the text on themselves to be readable. "This little guy with me is Razz and my other buddy here is Biribiri."

He noticed the cards on the table and blinked. "Those aren't Pokemon Cards from the Card Region, are they? What are they?"
Given their full attention for a moment, there's an odd curiosity for a moment.
no subject
And then. "No, they're not Pokemon. They're duel monsters... there's a Card Region in this world?"
no subject
"But your cards are really nice, well taken care of. Duel Monsters huh? Sounds like fun!"
no subject
and for anything abruptly different about his surroundings."Do you come to eat here often? What would you say is good, if not the best?"
He notes that absolutely no one in his head has any comment toward such a minor topic. His newest dragon perks up anyway, apparently excited at the idea of trying other kinds of pancakes if there's way more than what David offered from his plate.

"Wow. I better get in on that while I can...!"
While holding a fairly straight face when he gets to make his order (he's really not getting that comfortable), Yuya does at least ask himself and the guys how this 'stranger' knew exactly what kinds of pancakes are his perfect bite- second to when his mom goes out of her way to cook exactly that.
And Yuya doesn't put the dragons away just yet despite all reason for the contrary. Instead he carefully tucks them at the furthest corner of the table that keeps them far away from the arrival of more food. An odd thing, but it feels like a way to let the card spirits stay included and for everyone here to be at ease.

He gestures towards Nina and he hands Yuya a menu. "Here, on me. Order what you like!"
no subject
"Uh, you sure?" Yuya inquires back. "Because you really don't need to for someone you've just met...!"

-then for a split second, he tenses up again before trying to pretend in the next moment that it totally didn't happen.
"A stack of those maple bacon pancakes for me, definitely!" He looks back at the menu. "And..." Eventually, he figures out what would be good for a Popplio and Dracozolt.

"I think I'll see what the razz berry juice is really like."

"Razz is cute. And you can even do the 'Razzle Dazzle' joke, Ryou says, popping out of nowhere from behind Yuuya in the same way the Dreepy did. It's pretty freaky, actually. But Ryou's all smiles as he looks at the Yuuya, as if talking like he's familiar with a stranger isn't all that weird. "But does your Popplio like Razz?"
no subject
Nevertheless, Yuya stares in awe at the cute little thing. While it's odd that this other guy is apparently more ninja than even Moon Shadow, Ryou gets the benefit of the doubt from him here. And he takes their inquiry in stride- "Yeah, take your time on this one Popplio!"
The seal looks to be thinking over the newest suggestion supplied thus far. "Po-po-po!" they cry out with a pose vaguely reminiscent of what Yuya himself might do.
Which is enough of a confirmation for Yuya. "Well said! Razz it is!"
no subject
"Awwww... that's cute. Razz is a performer."
Dreepy, who's been flying circles around Dracozolt, zips over to Razz and grins. It bumps its head playfully against Razz's.
"Sorry. Kyra is especially affectionate."
no subject
Yuya lets out a laugh, reaching out to pet the scaly specter if allowed. "I've got the start of a talented troupe ahead of me!" But also it's nice finding so many cuddly companions in this place.
"I'm Yuya. Yuya Sakaki! And yourself?"
no subject
"Ryou. Ryou Bakura. And this is Kyra, my Dreepy. I assume you're a Faller too?"
