Pokemon School First Week!

It's the opening of the Pokemon School Year, and there's lots to do! Today, on the 26th of August, people are preparing for the first week of classes. The new curriculum has been prepared, with Sciences, Math, higher education, general education, adult learning, Battle Studies, Professional Studies and other fields of study available to the students.

With the newcomers, arrivals at the school have taken up residency at the school and have taken up teaching positions. You can find them, much to Ash Ketchum's surprise, delight, and otherwise shock as he knows many of their faces.


Brock Is interning his Pokemon Doctor studies and will be TA-ing this year with Pokemon Breeder studies under the supervision of Nurse Joy.

Misty has been asked to come and teach courses on Water Pokemon and Aquatic studies. She and Lana has been hard at work putting this together.

Olivia will be teaching Pokemon Religion of the various regions. This includes the creation stories, as well as the various smaller stories, Pokemon studies into the Reverse World and others.

Gary has arrived fashionably late to annoy Ash and teach a course on Battling and Pokemon Raising.

May has arrived to teach a course on Pokemon Contests, a new thing that might just be implemented later into the year for fun and excitement.

Burnet will be teaching the adult sciences and Professor-level courses.

Cynthia is taking a year off her Champion duties to teach this year, and will be teaching a course on Pokemon League Business and companies and how to get yourself instilled into the Pokemon world as a company.

And finally, Courtney the former Team Magma Admin will be teaching for the first time in this year, focusing on the main aspects of inter dimensional space and legendary Pokemon.

Of course, mind you, you are not required to take all of these courses, but taking some of these courses are highly recommended!

That being said, please mingle around. Classes start on Monday!

Oh please, I love hearing about other places. Other worlds doesn't bother me. Considering my own experiences with other dimensions, I should be asking you questions!

[Placing the statues onto the table, Cynthia braced herself on the table and smiled at Yuume] Tell me about yourself, Yuume. We've got time before class.

Ahahaa...while I could certainly talk to you about my homeland, it wouldn't be much help if I simply said the location without that though neh..? Ah...hmm...

[Where to start...] Well...where I came from, I was working toward a degree in ancient history and archaeology- a number of patterns and events as seen in modern day could be reflected by what was seen in the past I felt, and I thought it a fascinating topic...to fund my tuition, I work as what is called a 'Doctor'. It isn't a medical profession...nor is it one with a Doctrate, actually...but the term stuck all the same.

Ah I see. A doctorate without a doctoring no less. Impressive work for someone in your field. I must say, we got those a lot around here to be honest.

[Cynthia smiled.] To be honest, a lot of our new teachers dabble in different fields right now. And most of them don't actually specialize in their major fields.

Something like that...really, it's just a matter of the job relating to health of some kind.

[As it is, that sounds rather interesting.] Ah...is that so? It really is a matter of who could do what, isn't it then...

Well, take Brock for example. He's a teacher in training, but he's teaching a course on Pokemon Breeding. Which is what he specialized in beforehand.

And Misty is a Water Type Battler, but she's teaching a course on marine biology.

Ahhhh....

They're things that make sense for them to know beforehand, or even currently, but not necessarily the things they work in...

[ah,] ...I suppose I'm somewhat similar at the moment hm...

It's sort of a class-into-a-class sort of speaking, [said Cynthia.]

I got my degree on ancient cultures before I became Champion.

Ahhhh...it certainly makes sense...ah! We're quite similar in regard to the academic path then at least, haha...

[Yuume just, kept on trucking along through the degree program really.]

True enough, although my Champion duties kept me busy. There's a lot of exhibition matches I needed to perform in the other regions. This is the first year I have to myself and I decided to spend it teaching.

Mnnh...that sounds comparable to professional dueling somehow...
