A 4thFaller Event!

It seems everything is peaceful in the four worlds at the time being. Things have calmed relatively down since the incident last month when Glomgold and his minions attacked Alola and Aether was lost to another world.

And then suddenly, the skies inverted. Going a brilliant violet color for a brief moment as the world’s colors turned inside out. There was a flash of familiarity from Ash as he looked up at the sound of a familiar cry as from the depths of the hole left behind where Aether once stood, a huge form erupted.

“What’s that?” asked Lana, leaning over the railing of the school as a massive form circled overhead.

“Giratina!” Exclaimed Ash, a pit opening up in his stomach at the sight of the legendary Pokemon. Not again…

With a massive roar, the legendary Pokemon slammed down into the courtyard of the school as students scattered and Pokemon tensed up for battle as the legendary roared. The air around it shimmered as the light of the Distortion World flashed around them as members of the assembled defense force that were stationed at the school’s portal summoned their Pokemon.

In a shimmering flash, I.Z.U. appeared next to the Ultra Guardians. “Warning,” she said, in her placid if slightly alarmed tone. “The presence of Giratina has severely compromised the structure of the dimensional fabric around Alola.”

“Meaning what?” asked Kiawe, tense and ready for battle as Giratina started pacing around in a circle.

“Giratina’s presence will cause people to slip through the boundaries of time and space at an alarming uncontrollable rate.” replied I.Z.U. “The chance of us controlling the rate of Falling is 0.0000001% until Giratina is returned to the Distortion World. Chances of Capture, are even less than that.”

“No way…” said Sophocles. “So what do we do now?”

“Hey guys?” said Mallow as Giratina started to hunker down like an oversized cat. “Is it me… or is Giratina…”

“About to take a nap…” finished Ash as Giratina started to sleep soundly in the courtyard, unconcerned with the Pokemon who were still tense up by its presence.

I.Z.U. tilted her head. “It seems it has gone into some sort of hibernation. Rotom-dex, please monitor it from here. I will return to the base and begin preparations to receive the new arrivals.” With that, she vanished.

Rotom sighed. “Sure, leave me to do all the hard work-roto.”

Ash rubbed his head with a sigh. “Well, I guess…? School’s still on! Even with a sleeping legendary Pokemon in our yard! But we should probably get a reception going for everyone who’s going to start appearing. Let’s go tell the town that more people are going to appear!”

With this in mind, the 4th wall has begun for the next two weeks! What brave fun will our visitors get up to today?

Welcome to the Fallers RP 4th Wall! Arriving in the game, you get to experience life in the Pokemon Anime Universe in an Alternate Spinoff of the Alola Region Arc, based on the Ultra Sun and Moon Video Game storyline. Come in, rest a little, relax. Have some malasada. Kick up your feet. We have lots to do.

Our Ground Rules as Follows:

1. Everyone gets a Pokemon for any battle happy moments. The only Pokemon who are not on the table are actual mythicals and legendaries unless said character has a in character reason to possess them in their own canon.
2. Remember this is a PG setting with PG setting rules
3. Visitors are allowed to make top levels in this post and the Friday Event post as well as post open threads for the duration of the 4th wall
4. Duplicates are certainly allowed
5. Please refrain from destroying in-game property, this setting doesn’t allow for instant rebuilding of locations.
6. Visitors may always join our Discord for chatting with the cast during this event. A link will be active for the duration of the event and you may ask an active player for a link at any time.
7. In game NPCs can be available for questions at any time but please keep in mind that the head mod is only one person and can only do so many tags at any given time. If you haven’t received a tag yet, it is because there is a queue.
8. And as always remember to be Excellent to One Another

[Michael's wandering around, calling out for...something. It's clearly not the Liepard or Haunter following him around; they both seem just as expectant, as if whatever he's trying to call might just drop out of the sky.]

Yveltal? [He pauses, looks around, and sighs.] Oh, it's not coming. Looks like it's just us for a minute, guys. Let's go see if Giratina's murdered anyone lately - has Giratina murdered anyone lately, anybody know?

Giratina has not taken a life at this point, nor does he seem to be inclined to at any moment in time. [stated a voice as a Pokemon swooped into view: a large totem-like pokemon with a huge golden crest as a digital form materialized and gave a short bow.

A short Japanese woman stood there, dressed in a green and white uniform as she said,] Hello, I have been summoned by your curious inquiry to the guardian deity of the Kalos region and Tapu Koko's interest in you. I am I.Z.U. I will act as translator for this encounter.

[She gestured as a tour guide would to the Pokemon nearby who studied Michael with a keen eye, deity to deity.] This is Tapu Koko, the Guardian Deity of Melemele Island. He welcomes you to this land.

Geez!

[Sorry, man, that's a little startling! Cat Janet, being a cat, leaps like ten feet into the air.]

Oh - oh, more Pokemon gods. Good. Hi, I'm Michael. This is Cat Janet, and Jane Doe. [The Liepard and Haunter, in turn.]

The god of conflict welcomes you. He acknowledges you, as one who has communed with another. [said I.Z.U. at the trilling of Tapu Koko who ruffled his feathers.]

[Tapu Koko tilted his head, as if staring deep into Michael's eyes for a long moment before I.Z.U. translated.]

He assures you he and the other Gods of this land have the Dimensional One's visit monitored. The Dimensional One, Giratina, is here to recover his strength and seeks a rest.

...nice to meet you, too.

[Oh, it's the god of conflict! Cool cool cool, this is gonna end well for everyone.]

I'm glad to hear that. The last time I ended up in a Pokemon-adjacent dimension, it did murder a ten-year-old. [Not in front of him or anything, but still?]

You are referring to the cross-dimensional phenomenon wrought on by multiple timelines by infinite possibilities created by the firing of the Superweapon. [Translated I.Z.U. What.]

Thanks, Izu-san. Not that Sena knows about the morbid line of conversation that they had earlier without him, but hey.

Rather, Sena shows up a while later, carrying some equipment for the Ultra Riders base with his team (including Taka the Pheromosa). That stuff gets immediately dropped on seeing a familiar face, though.

"Michael!"

You're the third familiar face he's seen today! He's starting to wonder if Giratina brought you all here on purpose or something!

Not that he sounds upset to see you, anyway. He sounds more relieved than anything.

Sena!

[Michael was already aware of Sena being around, at least, but he's definitely happy to finally see him!]

How are you? Heard you got caught up in some shit again!

Well, that's one way to put it...

[He laughs it off, looking more at ease than he has been in a while. Maybe one would find it odd for someone like him to be on good terms with a demon, but...they didn't hang with the Deimon Devil Bats.

Or Michael, actually. Sena thinks Michael would be right at home with his old team.]

It's been pretty chaotic around here, but the people of Alola have mostly been on our side, so that's a relief...

It does seem like a nicer place. Even if the people are...not very cautious.

[Looking off towards Giratina as he says so.]

So, what's the situation?

Um, I think it's less that and more that they're used to this kinda thing...I mean, Alola's a place that's close to their gods...

[Pause.]

In a different way than Sinnoh, though.

[It's hard to explain.]

Ah...where to start...You already know about the Giratina thing, right?

Yeah, it's a little hard to miss.

[Honestly, the god thing does not appear to be building Michael's confidence in Alola.]

Yeah...aha.

Anyways, Giratina's just kind of doing its own thing, but even before then people have been brought in...um, has anyone told you about Ultra Holes yet?

Well, they're pretty much wormholes that lead to other dimensions.

[Oh! Okay.]

Apparently they show up around Alola a lot, and they drop people or Pokemon from other universes into Alola. Some of the stronger Pokemon, they call them Ultra Beasts, 'cause they're just really different compared to most Pokemon, and the people they call Fallers.

[Sounds like a simple enough explanation, but why does Sena sound like he's gonna say more...]

Except there's been waaaaay more Ultra Holes opening up recently, even whole organizations from other worlds are coming in...so it's been really messy. I was one of the first batch of people that got dropped here a few months back, I think...

Oh, like the Earth door.

[Sure, he gets it! So well that he isn't gonna explain!]

It just happens naturally? Like a hurricane, or an earthquake? Sounds dangerous.

Yeah, apparently...although there are some Pokemon that can open them? Like...there's some legendaries on Alola that're actually really powerful Ultra Beasts that just ended up living here and they can do that.

But they can't just send everyone back?

Well, the one Solgaleo they know is still like...a baby or something? It just kinda comes and goes...

[shrug]

And, uh, the science of opening one and finding the right coordinates is pretty tricky. I've been helping out with some things, but there's only so much I can do...

Well, it doesn't seem right to leave you here all by yourself.

[Not that he is, technically, but he's without any of them.]

"I mean, there's a lot of us here working together, but..."

[He trails off. Even so, it doesn't feel quite the same, going through this without others who have been through the same situation.]

"...It's a little lonely, but I'm fine! It's like playing with a different team, you know...?"

He's fine. Mostly.

That doesn't sound like something you'd enjoy.

[Sena's so attached to his team of weirdos, after all.]

Do you want us to...well, Cyrus is still friends with Arceus, I'm sure we could get Emmeryn to ask him if there's anything it could do.

Well, we all had to graduate high school at some point, right? It's not like we could all go to the same college...

[And honestly, it was probably better for them that way.] Some of them are proving to be really challenging opponents! It's a new goal to strive for, you know?

[Even so, the time spent with his team of weirdos is something he'll always cherish. Also his time with his Sinnoh weirdos.]

Mm...we're actually collecting the Arceus Plates that are in this world, using them to open Ultra Holes...I'm not sure what would happen if introducing another Arceus would do...

[Hmm.] Although, we could probably get some advice, at the very least. It couldn't hurt?

Oh, god, there's more than one of them.

[He hates that?????]
