Gonna Be A Great Day - Open Mingle
Once everyone was able to connect to the worlds even despite the worries that abounded, business seemed to work as usual as the people of Ultra Metropolis seemed to also have their own festivals even in this world. Today, they had invited everyone into their world as a show of good faith, as the sky was lit up with the light of stars as the brilliant stars above were glittering despite the radiance of the Etemax Tree far away on the coast.
The people of Paxio were really welcoming, and some of them would love to battle the newcomers. But more importantly, it was Alolans who were really bringing their delicious fruits, foods and vegetables to the land as the beach zone was lit up with beautiful lanterns.
It's very magical, and there's actually some good stuff about this world, as the people of Duckburg, Crystal Cove, Ultra Metropolis and Alola mingled. And you should take this time to relax, it's going to be some time before anything will be done. The Kahuna are meeting with the leaders of each world right now, so don't worry too much about it.
[Open mingle post, have fun everyone! Food and delightful beach fun. It is tropical after all.]

His eyes are filled with tears.
"No...nonononono..." 'Burden', she says, and that can only mean, "No, no, no way y' had t' face...not tha' thing, tell me y' didn'," he's whispering, despite already 'seeing' the answer in his mind. "Y' didn'...y'..."
They...
"Tw'ny minutes," he mutters, tears now going down his cheeks. If it was exactly the same she'll understand, the significance of the statement. "F'r tw'ny..."
'You were clinically dead for twenty minutes', he was told when he woke up all those weeks ago.

"I shouldn' be screwin' off when there's shit to do..! I don' care abou' th' nonsense, that ain'-"
...
"What th' fuck does Doma have t' even do w' this..!" he finally croaks, shamefully leaning back against the other and thus 'over' the other as he shakes. "What th' hell 'm 'I' doin' in these other places, 'f it's goin' t' shit like th's...?"

.......................................
"...Wai-"
Sorry, sorry, just. Gently breaking this awkward embrace and shaking his head now. "What?"
Alright, he's gotta focus on you now, double. "...He took yer soul? Hell wh's th's abou' Hirutani, he oughta be dead! I got scars on my eyes f'r tha' shit! An' tha' stuff def'nitely didn' happen t' Shizuka in my world!" So, this definitely isn't an even flip round the pair! And. "An' a mind cr-"
............
Right he's moving for Zahra. Not that much mind, only about enough to get around Shizuka but.
"...What th' hell happened. Now."
ah not the weird pastlife adult tone stop that

"So. Um. He..." Zahra shrinks before Jounouchi. wow that's
really effective actually
But thankfully his counterpart has enough of his wits about him to provide an (extremely sheepish) explanation. "Uh. Ya know how you and Honda used t'. Play. Extremely inappropriate pranks on th' girls at school? Well, uh. We went too far one time, and... ya also know how A- er, Yami went. A little overboard. In th' early days? Anzu kinda saved my ass—without her, it woulda been a lot worse—but. I wasn't able t' touch a card for... a year. More, probably. Things still give me th' heebie jeebies, honestly. An' so Shizuka went t' Duelist Kingdom while Hirutani took advantage o' my... compromised... state and..."
Well. The rest is history.

But fortunately, 'Jonouchi' snaps the guy out of it. Katsuya turns, and while the odd aura of someone way older than he is lingers for a second it...fades. Utlimately, it fades and Katsuya has to frown.
It's nothing he can get incredulous over. Nothing like that but.
"..." For a moment he wants to protest. Scream, even. But....
Man. That's tiring, really. It's... "...y' say a year..." .... "So y' took it off then, righ'?" he asks, looking back to Zahra.

Look, give the two time to be touchy-feely, okay?"Atem was basically already done instating the penalty when Anzu tried to stop him. Which. Sorta broke the whole thing. He escaped the penalty, but every time he touched Duel Monsters cards, it returned in full force until he stopped. When Atem and Anzu came to an... accord after Death-T, they tried removing it, but it didn't work. The penalty faded over time, but. Well. Like he said, the cards still give him the heebie jeebies."no subject
He takes a deep breath. Fuck it. Fuck this, fuck....fuck everything, and-
... "...So tha's how it is huh." It doesn't feel right. The magic is gone, but the trauma is there. The tragedy, the...the pain.
He is quiet for a minute, and he doesn't look back. He can feel his cards in his pocket, Ra's pulse from the egg on his back, and he licks the inside of his lips as they crack, dried out for one reason or another. "...Great." Perfect. Well. "In tha' case, I guess 'm back t' somethin' else tha's importan'," he adds seriously.
"...Where's th' puzzle?"
no subject
"Honey, what..."
"Some asshole took it apart."
"But N-"
"I know! I know. I... I know, alright. I tried to-" Zahra takes a deep, shuddering breath. "I couldn't do anything, though. I... I still keep the pieces in my pack, though."
They take out the puzzle's original box; it had shown up the moment that the amulet had been taken apart again.

Oops? He grimaces- there are no visions to give him context here, no points of insight that he can use to understand. But then he pauses. He pauses, and stares at the box...and slowly smiles.
"...Heh. All th' pieces, righ' there huh? Well...I c'n take a guess why yer in a bind on tha'," he notes, glancing back over his shoulder at the crowd. But as he speaks, his rotomdex comes hopping out, already knowing just what Katsuya intends to do. "But y'know..."
The smile becomes a grin.
"I think I know a guy."
"Zzrrt zrrt! We need that guy right? Jojo!"
"Heh!" Without even waiting for the others, Katsuya nods. "Got it right- go tell 'm we're gonna need Crazy D!"
"Zzrrt! On it!!"
A'ight what's he up to.
no subject
"Hey, heard you need my buddy. What'cha got for us?" he asked. As he spoke Crazy Diamond appeared behind him. As normal he was invisible to most, but he gave a curious look, and a soft 'Dora?' that would go unheard to anyone who couldn't see him.
no subject
"Zahra here's got a puzzle they need puttin' t'gether. Weird magic artifacts 'n all tha', normally takes ages t' do. Thing is tho'..."
His grin widens.
"...Wasn' a puzzle b'fore it was broke, 'f y' catch my drift~"
He gestures, for the moment, at the box with the pieces. Whether Zahra opens it, or someone else, the pieces will be right there.
All they need to do is 'fix' it.
no subject
Zahra, however, is extremely confused, and just hands the box over the Josuke awkwardly.
no subject
He accepts the box and looks into it, before looking at Katsuya. "You say weird and magical... I've gotta ask... is there a reason to worry about who's touching it when it's all back in one piece?" He asks, wanting to make sure he doesn't mess with more weird mumbo-jumbo than he's got going on.

While they aren't far from each other they seem to flow together in an odd way, first the very next piece to the one touched, and the next, growing out from there. As more fitting areas open up, more pieces flow in to the puzzle, until the very last is in place. Without Josuke himself ever touching it, in the box is the fully put together puzzle. But more than that, it's not just an assembled puzzle, but completely reformed into it's original shape, no seams or lines, nothing to break apart, not without the original force that broke it into pieces.
"There we go. Good as new! Or... at least as much as I can help with it." He offers with a smile, holding the box back out to Zahra.
no subject
Then they straight up start crying as the puzzle falls back into their hands, and they immediately go to hug Josuke out of thanks, bawling like a baby. "THANK YOU SO MUCH I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG IT WOULD'VE TAKEN WITHOUT YOU I'M FOREVER IN YOUR DEBT" and on and on and on
Shizuka shakes her head, smiling fondly, then takes the Puzzle. Deep breath, in, out. Then she taps the Eye of Wdjat, and-
Noa is standing right there. "Hello, Noa. How are you doing?"
"Recently disassembled, but other than that, fantastic. Thanks for bringing me out again, big sister." There's a beat as Noa blinks, realizing what he's said. "...how much do I have to pay you to pretend that you never heard that."
"Alas, I'm afraid that I'm going to have to hold that over you for the rest of my life, little brother." And then she gives him a noogie, giggling.
D'awwww.
no subject
Turns out that's indeed the case, as Noa's ghost shows up soon after (and Josuke gets to deal with Zahra). "Heheheeee....what'd I tell y'?" he laughs, grinning widely at the optimism in the air. The slip ups on neechans and the like only makes it better, really.
"I think 's abou' as good as y' could've made it!" he compliments further.
no subject
Then he's looking to the scene of the siblings and he looks at Katsuya with shocked expression. "Dude... why didn't you say someone was trapped inside?! I wouldn't have mess around before getting it put back together!" He says, letting go of Zahra with one arm to try and bat at the teen, though it was still a playful thing. Nothing could be changed about the time he spent, but he sure wasn't going to feel alone in making things go longer than they had to.
