"There she is! Get her!"

Ever since the announcement about Overwatch's takeover, the soldiers Glomgold had introduced had began patrolling the islands. There had been reports that various unknown Fallers had been unceremoniously taken into custody, which has also upset the natives in their supposed "authority". This was even making other Fallers go into hiding.

Of course, this was not enough for one Faller as Nozomi, tired of being cooped up, escaped into town... and found herself confronted by the soldiers. Nozomi was "special" to them, as she was the first Faller to enter Alola without "falling" in. Of course, going into custody was NOT in her plans, summoning her Victini and having it use Searing Shot to scatter the soldiers and allowing Nozomi to escape as Cure Dream.

Of course, this meant that she was now being chased by these invaders. One leap had a soldier snag her boot, leading to Nozomi strike the man, pulling off her boot and letting her magic create a new one.

"This is ridiculous!" Nozomi shouted as she landed on the ground. "The transfer hasn't been made official! Stop this now!"

"Under the authority of Overwatch, with Aether under lockdown, we will take over officially now!" the soldier said

"Yeah, though it seems like their gear is weak against certain Pokemon Moves." said Mirio thoughtfully.

"I noticed that they were using Pokemon based moves. Maybe the color of their armor denotes weaknesses too?"

"You're right. It's like their gear is based off of Pokemon themselves." Nozomi mused. "Why would they do such a thing, though?"

"Cutting corners maybe? But there's got to be a reason behind it." said Mirio. "I think it's just trying to fit in but I kinda like it. Not that this is good? But it gives us a chance to fight back."

He grinned sheepishly, rubbing his head. "I mean, apparently now all of my moves seem to do Air and Rock and Fighting damage, even though I don't have a Quirk anymore. I guess I should really have paid a visit to Aether before it was locked down. Maybe we could have checked this out sooner. But that guy I arm barred..."

He looked over at the guy who was still passed out. "I think I did Rock or maybe Fighting damage to him?"

"Oh, wow, I never realized that." Nozomi admitted. "It's like this world is adjusting us for it..."

She mused a bit. "I do feel like mine is doing Fighting and Flying? But... heh, I haven't really transformed like this in quite awhile, so I'm still off."

"I mean, it's just a hypothesis, but considering I know my body inside and out it makes sense. What little I know about this world, it might be some kind of power creep..."

Picking up a rock, he threw it and it clanged off the soldier's head who fell prone once more. "Yeah, that did way more damage than it should have. Definitely Rock weaknesses on those guys if they're coded red for Fire."

Nozomi pondered this a bit. “If that’s the case, then, I’m sure Overwatch knew way before now. Probably explains why they’re pulling this move now.”

"If that's the case, then I can think of these guys as Villains then, with Quirks. Which means we can mount a defense with people who have the most suitable Quirks or Powers or Pokemon that are suitable for this sort of thing." Mirio smacked his hands together.

"I think we've got a plan. I'm also willing to bet that someone is pulling the strings at this organization too. That Glomgold guy sounds sketchy with a name like Glomgold after all with the way he was gloating to that Scrooge person too." added Mirio.

“Sounds about right. Especially with that horrible screaming when the announcement came down.” Nozomi said. “Might want to talk to Della about him.”

She let out a sigh. “But, with Lusamine and Aether out of commission right now, we’re on our own.”

"Well, it's not like we're Pro Heroes here." said Mirio sheepishly. "If anything? We're Vigilantes. Not that's a bad thing, there's a really popular group of Vigilantes in another town nearby where I'm stationed out of. But..."

His hands clenched as he said, "To save a Million People? We gotta start from somewhere. And earn the trust of Alola once more. Which means, we gotta stop whoever is behind this whole Overwatch scheme. I don't know who it is, but I feel it in my gut that this? This isn't right."

“No, it isn’t right. And I have a feeling this may be Rainbow Rocket at work.” Nozomi said. “We got a lot of work to do, though...”

"Like the League of Villains and the Shie Hassaikai back home, there's more to this than meets the eye." agreed Mirio. "Two different forces, perhaps working in tandem, or against one another. No one can tell. Either way, we're looking into something deeper."

Mirio picked up his groceries. "Will you be okay going home? They're still gunning for you, and I'd hate to let you go home alone. Riolu and I can accompany you to wherever you want to go for now."

Nozomi smiled sweetly and took Victini in her arms. “Thanks, but I think I’ll be okay for now. I think they’ll think twice about trying stunts like that again.”

“Though, will you be okay?”

"Oh yeah, strong as an ox! I should be okay. I mean, we just gotta head through the jungle back to Master's place. We need to get back for the supper rush. I think Mallow needs this stuff too..." said Mirio thoughtfully.

“...on second thought, maybe I should help you instead.” Nozomi said, grinning sheepishly. “You might have your hands full if someone tries to take advantage of you.”

Mirio laughed, ducking his head. "I guess I can use the help. All right miss Pro Hero, I'll take your offer. May I have this escort?"
