Episode 1: A Stranger In Familiar!

Today on Melemele, there has been a strange and rash sequence of events!

Officer Jenny has been busy, as a series of thefts has been noted across the city. The wealthy industrialist Viren has been targeted several times with valuables relating to the Pokemon Groudon.

As researchers are coming into the town today to help work on the Ultra Hole situation, on invite of the Aether Foundation, it seems that someone might have slipped through into the town. A certain woman in green might have been spotted in several of Viren's locations before a theft has been seen.

Some people might be starting to get uneasy about the influx of people. Perhaps it's time to investigate some of these rumors that a thief might have made their way onto the island...

"Writings on ancient Pokemon mostly, old relics and assorted etchings," replied Jenny. She snorted. "Viren? Plenty. He's not well liked in this town. But he has money, and unfortunately that gets him business."

"Okay... so probably not much to work with on the enemies front-or too much." Peter says, rubbing at his chin as he thinks about it a little more. "Anything else they have in common?"

He's not too confident in his detective work, really. But he has done some and Karen might be able to help. He'll have look around later. Maybe he should focus his patrolling near this Viren's house.

"What's so bad about this Viren guy? Is he just kinda a jerk to everyone because he's rich? I know guy like that at my school-Uh Midtown Tech-only he's mostly just a jerk to me because I'm only there 'cause of a scholarship."

"Some of them were said to focus on the writings of Groudon, and were recovered from the old Team Aqua and Magma Bases," replied Jenny. "The items were released to public collections after a research team was done with them."

"He's a criminally aggressive land-shark developer. He really likes throwing his weight and money around, bullying people into taking their land, sometimes by force. He wants to turn all of Alola into a resort, and frustratingly we can't get him to leave." replied Jenny with a annoyed scowl.

Yeah, okay so Peter's betting there's gotta be some kind of under the table sketchiness. In his experience people that were landsharks usually were up to some kind of crime thing. Just look at what happened to Wilson Fisk! Well, probably great experience if all he's really basing it off of is the one guy and several police and crime dramas.

"How did get the artifacts? Like in an auction or something?"

"Auctions, backroom dealings, and straight up purchasing from old collections," replied Jenny. "Some on and off the table. We're still investigating on which ones are legal and not."

Yeah, land sharks are always criminals. Peter stores the information away for later. "Well, I hope you get him!"

He stands up from the table, grabs his bowl of cereal and proceeds to clean up his cereal making mess.

"But I gotta a-a thing I wanna do tomorrow morning so I better... uh... head to bed. Night!" He's lying, he actually wants to hide away in his room and see what kind of information he can find on this dude. Congratulations Viren, you are officially on Spider-Man's radar.
