Episode 9: Welcome to the World of Pokemon -- Again! The Galar Trip!

Welcome to the Galar Region everyone!

After a long trip, you've all arrived, rested up and now are touring the countryside before heading to Wyndon. Along the way, you and your classmates get to experience the gentleness of the city before heading to the biggest city of the nation.

Some stops are along the way as follows.





First stop is the big and majestic Wild Area around Motostoke and Hammerlocke. This rich, lush area is full of natural beauty, and is a haven for Pokemon. Trains, trainers and Pokemon all travel through this landscape, as you can see dens lit up across the landscape. Your tour guide will inform you that these Dens are full of Dynamax Pokemon, and can be battled and caught if you wish to test your mettle.

There are Pokemon of all kinds, not quite all of the Pokemon you might find in other regions but Pokemon are migrating in and out of Galar at all times with unique and bizzare forms.




Incredible looking Stow-on-Side is another stop where the trains run, yes, trains run to Stow-on-Side, not EVERYONE walks here, silly! and Here, you can find the historical murals of the landscape, the Fighting Gym run by Bea (when it's not swapped out with Allister every other half a year but this time it's Bea's turn), and maybe if you're plucky enough, Bea will let you challenge her gym. Who knows, she might accept.



Hullbury Gym is in the opposite direction and we'll be taking the Train there as well, or you could rent a bike and hoof it across the bridge, it's up to you. Or a Corviknight Taxi. Either way, we'll be setting out from Hammerlocke in the middle of the week to visit Nessa.


In the middle of the week, we will arrive at our destination. The beautiful city of Wyndon.



Wyndon is a bustling metropolis where some peculiar going-ons have been taking place. While it shouldn't bother you at the moment, Chairman Rose himself has come to meet you and the students with a genuine smile on his face along with his placid secretary, and none other than Champion Leon.

All are very enthusiastic to meet the students, and some of the Fallers who have decided to come on the trip, including the chaperones.

In all, you've been put up at the swankiest hotel thanks to the Chairman's goodwill, and have fun experiencing the life of Wyndon for the next ten days!

This is where the real Mystery Begins, as reports of strange red light has been affecting citizen's Pokemon, and Dynamaxing them once in a while...

"Oh dang it's a talking duck!" Exclaimed Fred. "My kind!"

"I'm sure your kind is the Pokemon, Fred," said Adora, eye-rolling. "But hi ma'am, we're tourists in this place. The town is that way. Want to group up with us? I'm guessing you're not from around here?"

“Of course I’m not from here - not too many ducks here that can talk.” The Duck said. “But, yeah, that’ll be great. Name’s Della and these are Jet, Turbo and Rebel. And no Donald to give them lame names.”

"I'm Fred the Magnificent, although there's some Galarian Ponyta who are arguing this fact," he added sourly, "and this is Adora. She's sometimes a 7-foot-tall Amazon Warrior Lady."

"Stop it. And come off it Fred, the Galar Ponyta and Rapidash are just... pastel. There's nothing special about them," said Adora, seconds before a herd of traveling Ponyta and Rapidash zoomed by, looking FABULOUS in the wind, sparkling as they traveled in the sunlight.

"Stop staring Adora you're hurting my feelings!" half-sobbed Fred theatrically.

“Ooookay. Pastel horses is a new thing here.” Della remarked. “Anywho, seven foot warrior, huh?”

"They're so faaaaaaab!" Fred mock-wailed into his own fur.

Adora patted him awkwardly as she rubbed her head. "Yeah, but I had to leave the sword at home. Clearly they don't let you travel with actual sharp weapons internationally. Back home I'm a mythical warrior named She-Ra but here, I'm just Adora, me and Fred together, traveling buddies. I left the baby in the care of the homestay tho with Guzma and the others."

“...please tell me there are more people like you. I mean people with amazing gear and—“

BONK!

“Hey, that Pokémon didn’t get caught!” A kid in the distance said.

“THAT DOES IT! Get back here!” Della shouted, started to run after the hapless trainer.

"Hey kids, stop throwing Pokeballs at random nice ladies we met!" Yelled Fred, taking chase as well.

"Fred get back here!"

"AAAAAH! Crazy talking Pokemon!" Shouted the kid. "Run away!"

Adora took chase after Della, Fred and tripped literally over another Pokemon in the process. "Sorry!" She exclaimed, only to get pelted angrily by the berry it was holding. "What you wanna go?" exclaimed Adora at the angry Psyduck. "What's a Psyduck doing in Galar, you're not native here!"

"Duck?" said the Psyduck, realizing where it had migrated. "Psy-yi-yi!" He exclaimed, running around in a panic and running towards Della.

And as the races on, the Farfetch’d approached Adora and helped her back on her feet.

“Far.” The one in red, Jet, said, dusting her off.

"Thanks," said Adora, getting up with Jet's help. "Fred, stop running around and stop it! You're going to cause trouble! Fred! Fred stop, if you're going to do something reckless you might--"

"SHE-RA BLAST!" Exclaimed Fred, unleashing a wave of golden light at the running kid which suddenly curved. "Uh oh."

"Fred no!" Exclaimed Adora as it arced around, and slammed -- right into Psyduck.

"Psy-yi-yiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!"

With a crash and a thud, Psyduck fell to the ground, smoking.

"I told you not to use the She-Ra blast while I wasn't She-Ra!" exclaimed Adora at Fred. "Look what happened! Now anything could happen, anything could--!"

"WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA BLASTING ME! I'll have you know that was the most painful thing in the world and I can't even begin to figure out what that was, that really hurt!" Exclaimed the Psyduck in a nearly incoherent yell as he Donald Ducked his way through that yelling, wings out and waggling it aggressively as he Donald-lisped it hardcore.

“What in the...?” Della has ducked (ahem) the blast, but the Psyduck talking like Donald?

“Donald? Donald, is that you?!” She ran back to grab the Psyduck. “I mean, unless there are other ducks with terrible lisps. I mean, I can barely understand you still!”

"My name's not Donald it's Psy... duck?" Psyduck's pupils dialated in a very Donald-like fashion as he freaked out again.

"Oh boy here we go," said Fred as Psyduck ran around in circles. "First time talking. Uh huh. Most Pokemon freak out. Sheesh, he's a Psychic Type, you'd think they'd be used to this by now. You know, with the advanced IQ and the telepathy...?"

"Not. Helping. Fred." ground out Adora. "You are so grounded from making anyone else talk!"

"... can't I make Jet, Rebel and Turbo talk?" asked Fred.

"... only if Mrs Della says so."

“No! Nonononononooo! No thank you!” Della said, waving her hands defensively. “Bad enough he’s sounding like my brother, if these three start talking like my boys, I’ll go crazy!”

"Yeaaaah let's not do that," said Adora sheepishly. "We should probably cut down on the ridiculous talking."

"Aww but I don't get to use the She-Ra beam ever!" whined Fred. "Can we keep Psyduck?"

"I am my own duck thank you very much!" Exclaimed Psyduck. "But... I won't mind spending time with any of you. I am a long way from home."

“I guess I could have a fourth.” Della mused. “Unless you want ‘em?”

"I suppose we should leave it up to the Psyduck?" asked Adora lamely.

"I suppose out of gratitude for allowing me to talk," said Psyduck irritably. "I should go with Adora. Unless you're going to make me start talking Kalosian next!"

"No, that would be AWFUL wouldn't it," snorted Fred.

"Don't push me, or I'll explode right here buster!" exclaimed Psyduck.

"He may not be Donald, but boy does he sound like it!" Della said, grinning. "Don't worry, I'll be following along in case something goes bad. I have a feeling I'm going to have a lot of fun now."

"Adora, I dunno, Psyducks are Walking Bombs, and I would feel better without one on our team," said Fred in a sidelong stage whisper.

"I'll give YOU WALKING BOMB YOU--!" Bursting into a angry spiel of incoherent Donald Noises (tm), he chased Fred around the Wild Area, shouting how his headache was going to erupt at any moment.

"No, think happy thoughts, happy thoughts, don't explode, don't explode!" cried Fred, "I'm sorrrrryyyyyyyy!"

"Psyduck, the Headache Pokemon! Psyduck has incredible mental and psychic powers, but suffers from a headache constantly to utilize them." offered Rotom helpfully.

"... I guess that's why he's so cranky," said Adora dumbfounded, facepalming at the insanity.

“Oh, I can’t let anyone suffer from that!” Della said, grinning. “Hey! Psyduck! Get over here! I’ll take ya in!”

The Farfetch’d looked at her in confusion.

“Look, we Ducks gotta stick together. We’re family now. And that means him, too.”

Adora laughed at that. "Well I guess we should look into getting you guys hooked up with the main tour group. We're headed to Wyndon. Wanna tag along? I mean, Galar's a huge place, but we're all congregating in Alola."
