Episode 5: Hot and Cold Flex Off!

Today, the Class is off to the Hot Springs! Until Monday, they’ll be on a school trip to Mount Lanakila, where they will spend two days and two nights at the mountain. Here, the school will learn about the native Snow Pokemon. However…

Kukui frowned in worry at the Mountain which was… suspiciously barren of snow in this area. The ground was green with grass, and it was swelteringly hot. “Sorry everyone! It seems like we’ve got unseasonable weather!” Exclaimed Kukui. “Still, there’s no worry here! Unload your things, get settled in and we’ll still tour the Ice Caves at 2pm! Until then, try and relax. Maybe if you want a nice Heatwave, try out the hot springs!”

No worries everyone, there's plenty to see. Lots of Pokemon still. Though, the people at the Hot Springs could need your help, getting the springs back to working order. The Owner could use people with technical help to look at the pipes, people with strong backs to get the springs in order and at 2pm everyone will go to the caves unless you're helping the Owner.

In the aftermath of the massive ultra-flex-off that just happened, Yuume is taking a bit of time before getting any of her extra summer gear back on. For now, it's just bikini top and bikini shorts, as the fairly toned woman goes to finally relax.

Of course, Initially she focuses a bit more on damage control. Asking how the others are, helping them to their feet as needed before working to sort out the matter of the plates and the area.

But later, it's time for Vacation things- getting something to drink, namely, and enjoying that from a nice reclining lawn chair. She deserves it, frankly, she's exhausted. And of course, Audino deserves it too. And... ...Well alright even though they didn't do much, Alcremie gets something as well. Only fair.

And then.

The Hot Springs. "Hhhhahhhhh..." Yuume sinks into the water with a relieved groan, letting the salts soak into the strained muscles. "Finally...a break..."

Seto's still a little winded from that effort, honestly. He'd been on the verge of passing out before he'd joined the battle, and the cooler air felt great...but he seemed to remember all at once that he'd joined in the madness and felt a flush of embarrassment.

He gathered up the pieces of his discarded shirt (littering was bad, okay) and found himself near his niece. His surprisingly strong niece. Guess it ran in the family, he thought with a tiny self-satisfied nod.

"You held everyone together through that," he said bluntly. "But when I fell through you looked hurt."

'Are you okay' isn't said, but it's communicated in the quirk of his brow.

"Hff," is a rather snorted reply, not that it feels like there's much negativity in it. "I would hardly say that..." Speaking of discarded clothes, there's a tank top she needs to pick up here herself...

There they are, and- "Ah....I was caught off guard, but I really wasn't hurt, not really," she tries to assure the other. "It's nothing to worry about."

"You did alright yourself," she adds. Only alright though. Sorry.

Seto tosses everything into his bag and stands once more, crossing his arms defensively.

"I was in a boiler room immediately before that was somehow even hotter than this volcano and on the verge of heat exhaustion. That's the only reason I stumbled."

He exhaled in an effort to calm himself. "I was trying to fix the boiler, but Entrapta tricked us."

"The boiler room? ...Ahh, right, you had volunteered to check that section..."

Ooof. She does frown at the mention of Entrapta. "I'm almost wondering if I ever want to know what this woman looks like in person...she sounds increasingly like a menace the more I hear."

Vacation

Wes didn't do very much in the ice caves and as a result he missed on all the fun. Probably a good thing too, because he probably would have bit the damn Buzzswole before cooperating with everyone else.

So now he's supposed to be enjoying the holiday? Or whatever? Who knew.

Wes is walking around, looking for somewhere warm to keep his egg when he sees Audino and Alcremie. He's never seen such Pokemon before, so without much hesitation the shadow human walks towards them.

Wes, you really need to talk and not look like you're staring at the Pokemon.

It's a good thing Yuume doesn't suspect any foul play, or she'd probably do a lot more than blink, turn, and raise an eyebrow.

As it stands. "...Do you need something..?"

"... Your Pokemon match in colour theme." Thanks Wes. The man looks over them and kneels down. "Normal types or fairies?"

[shadowslipping]

Ah-

"Eh...? ...Oh, I suppose they do... ...We believe Alcremie may be 'Fairy' type, but Audino is normal..."

Wes nods. He looks at Alcremie in particular.

"Didn't have fairy types at home..." He's interested. He thinks they're cute. He almost says so but then his heart tightens in his chest, the shadows locking his emotions deep down. Wes flinches and stands back up, stepping away.

"You didn't?" Oh wait,

"Oh! You had pokemon where you came from then?" Yuume remarks with a blink.

Wes shakes his head. No fairies whatsoever.

And then it’s followed by a nod.

“Orre. Not this Orre here. Another Orre... desert-like... few wild Pokémon... but had Pokémon. Everywhere.”

[shadowslipping]

"I see...if there were so few wild ones, then were all of the pokemon in possession imported somehow? That could explain not seeing too many fairy types..."

Wes gives a small nod. He then turns his attention back to Alcremie and offers a hand.

What flavour is she?

She appears to be a ruby swirl with strawberries...very cute.

The pokemon gives a small 'myuuu' sound before shyly reaching out with a hand. Yuume beams rather proudly, but keeps her voice down. "Ah....she's reaching out at last...~"

Wes gives a small nod to the Alcremie and he shakes the Pokemon's hand, surprisingly delicate despite his rough appearance. It really is cute and Wes keeps calm despite the sudden throb in his heart.

"Is she that shy?"

[shadowslipping]

"Aaah, very much so...she's opened up a little, but I haven't had the heart to even send her into battles yet- she doesn't seem to want to, so I don't intend to push."

"I see... Alola's peaceful... so she won't be forced to fight. It's very different in Orre."

Wes lets go of the little Pokemon's hand. He looks at his own glove. ... Creamy.

[shadowslipping]

"That's not surprising to hear, if importing is such a large portion of things there...from the sounds of even that, battling must be fairly important."

[withoutcontrolofmyself]

"If you have Pokemon, you're strong. You can defend yourself. And battling is a way to force what you want. It's why all battles are double battles... so there's always one Pokemon ready to defend the trainer if the other is battling."

[shadowslipping]

"Quite a brutal region over all...Would you say... ...Is 'Orre' at war?"

"Orre's always been like that. Just rough country. Brutal."
