Episode 5: Hot and Cold Flex Off!

Today, the Class is off to the Hot Springs! Until Monday, they’ll be on a school trip to Mount Lanakila, where they will spend two days and two nights at the mountain. Here, the school will learn about the native Snow Pokemon. However…

Kukui frowned in worry at the Mountain which was… suspiciously barren of snow in this area. The ground was green with grass, and it was swelteringly hot. “Sorry everyone! It seems like we’ve got unseasonable weather!” Exclaimed Kukui. “Still, there’s no worry here! Unload your things, get settled in and we’ll still tour the Ice Caves at 2pm! Until then, try and relax. Maybe if you want a nice Heatwave, try out the hot springs!”

No worries everyone, there's plenty to see. Lots of Pokemon still. Though, the people at the Hot Springs could need your help, getting the springs back to working order. The Owner could use people with technical help to look at the pipes, people with strong backs to get the springs in order and at 2pm everyone will go to the caves unless you're helping the Owner.

Here comes a late addition to the battle! Kaiba is definitely feeling out of his element here, but Blue Eyes seems to innately understand what's going on. She flies at the scene, stretches her mighty wings, and roars...that sure is a dragon flex.

Kaiba attempts to join her, spreading his arms...but he's really not built for this, and the gust of hot air sends him tumbling to the ground in a heap of limbs. He shoves himself up as quickly as he can, trying to recover into a more dignified pose, but...that could've gone better.

"We don't have much time! The geothermic instability from the ice is going to blow the top off!"

Flexing? Really? But she's like 4'6 and 98 pounds!

But, someone needs to get it through to them that this place needs cleaning up. So, Dawn releases the rest of her Pokemon and turns to them. "Okay, guys. New plan. We gotta... well... flex. Let them know we need their help cleaning things up. You ready?"

The six look around in confusion before nodding. Suddenly, there's a girl and a group of Pokemon flexing like complete dorks.

It doesn't take a whole lot to recover from being thrusted and flexed at fortunately, and Yuume rather boldly steps forward with a nod.

...And wow uh, good try Uncle.

That said. "You heard them!" Yuume calls to the Buzzswole, posing with one flex- "This volcano is unstable...and if we're going to stop it, your aid is vital!" she continues, transitioning flawlessly to another. "SO!"

"HELP US!"

"Yeah, help us!" Exclaimed Mirio, striking a pose!

Dramatically!

But his form is poor and it wasn't that impressive to the Buzzswole who humphed. "Aw c'mon! Someone please help us!"

Ash knew this was dire.

So he wasn't going to back down. "Buzzswole!" He exclaimed, stepping forward. "Buzzswole, remember me?"

The Buzzswole King looked up, and his brows seemed to raise in surprise as Ash reached to his shirt. "I haven't forgotten... our HOT BLOODED MATCH!"

And dramatically he threw off his shirt -- into the lava where it popped and sizzled as the light gleamed off rippling muscles as his ART STYLE CHANGED DRAMATICALLY INTO A LITERAL JOJOS STYLE. "Let's do the thing." He exclaimed, striking a 10/10 Muscle Man Pose.

The Buzzswole King regarded Ash for a long moment. Before striking a answering pose of respect. CLEARLY THE GAME WAS ON! WHO WAS NEXT?!

"Wryyyyyy--!" Hey!! Don't steal his thunder, brat!! He's the only valid JoJo character in this squad!!!

With an annoyed sort of whine, Dio straightens his stance and locks eyes with King Buzzswole, but neither a flex nor a true pose follows.

Instead, he goes low, his back arched as his muscles smoothly and precisely balance his weight. His gaze only sharpens even while he looks up at the massive bug. "We all have been confronted with dire straits! Cooperation will only benefit all parties, yourselves included! Lend us your aid!"

Kaiba stepped back and watched the proceedings, growing increasingly irritated as the flexing went on. The kid was that strong? Seriously? Everyone was well determined to command attention and show their strength.

As much as he hated the idea of joining in...failure would almost certainly result in a painful death, and he couldn't allow that. But more importantly, he couldn't let himself be shown up by this group.

With a roar he reached for his shirt and ripped, tossing his shirt to the ground to reveal his defined muscles. He twisted and stretched to his full height, thrusting his pecs forward as he threw a commanding arm up.

"Combine your strength with ours or we'll all perish!"

Dawn looked confused, but she and all of her Pokemon were doing their darnedest to post like everything meant it!

And there was Piplup, tiny heroic Piplup, posing as if he had evolved Empoleon on pure strength alone!

You can do it, Piplup!

The sheer power of their flexing was wrestling with theirs as King Buzzswole mustered a mighty flex. The power of muscles flared as literal Z poured off both groups, wrestling for control. For a moment, it seemed like both groups wouldn't last.

And then -- the tiniest creature intervened. Piplup won the day, with his final pose, which tipped the scales of Z. Like a cooling wave, Ice-Z flooded the room, cooling the air and the temperature of the room began to cool down, naturally, gradually, the rage of the volcano beginning to return to a more natural temperature.

The peanut butter covering the shrine brittled and shattered in a resounding crack, as the King grunted in surprise. And then, with a cry, raised his hands over his head as he cried happily, his subjects crowing happily as one as the rage of the volcano seemed to clear.

Moving towards Piplup, King Buzzswole knelt down in front of the little one, and bowed his head. Buzzing appreciatively, he snapped his fingers as two Buzzswole went to Ash's fallen shirt and retrieved a Beast Ball that had fallen from his things. Handing it to Piplup, he pointed it to him, and to Piplup.

"Buzzswole," said Buzzswole, finally in the language of the Pokemon as he tapped the device -- and was sucked in.

PIPLUP HAS CAUGHT A BUZZSWOLE!

As the Buzzswole cheered for their King and their new King's Boss, the shrine began to glow. From it, two majestic glowing plates began to shine from it, as the source of the Ultra Holes began to appear from them. Two gloriously powerful plates, Arceus Plates beckoned the Fallers forward.

Take your prizes Fallers, and go home. The Buzzswole are cheering you on now, making a path to the hole at the ice caverns which are cooling rapidly thanks to the geothermic change due to Piplup.

"Arceus Plates..." Dawn uttered, picking up Piplup in surprise, approaching them. Was this like the Jewel of Life incident again?

Oh, gosh, they'd need to protect them!
