Sudden Accidental Arrival!

Fallers are all the rage, it seems, with more and more showing up! However it seems that there’s one unintentional arrival. Out by one of the beaches, a strange aircraft comes to a halt as it skids across the ocean. After awhile, a pink-haired young woman pokes her head out of the aircraft and looked around.

“Uh, sorry about that!” She called out. “I took a wrong turn and ended up here! My fault! Give me a moment to figure out my bearings and I’ll be on my way!”

With that, she pulled out a ragged map. “I think I made a wrong turn somewhere...”

“‘Fallers’, huh? At least it’s a tamer title.” Nozomi said. “Sorry, the last world I went to claimed I was a Hero of Light. That didn’t turn out so well.” She chuckled a bit. “At least I have somewhere to stay, though.”

An idea came to her mind though.

“Does Alola have a Pokémon League? My own world hopping kinda halted my Unova run and my sis never told me if Alola did or not.”

"It's short for 'People Who Have Fallen through Ultra Holes'," replied Wicke with a sheepish smile and Lusamine giggled.

"We have a group called the Ultra Guardians, who are meant to defend against the Ultra Beasts who have come through automatically hostile. Their job is primarily to capture and send them back through the Ultra Holes before any major damage is done." added Lusamine. "If you're capable of working with Pokemon, then we can definitely use the help."

"We have a league," said Faba, looking up from his scan of Nozomi's ship. "The Alola League will be in it's 2nd year come next Summer. We'll be hosting the Tournament and I hope everyone can join in." He grinned. "I'm competing again for an actual shot at Royal Mask again!"

“I’m a little rusty on Training, but I can certainly help out!” Nozomi said. “I can also—“

She stopped as she remembered Bewear’s warnings.

“—ah, that’s too much.” She sighed before she went to offer Lusamine her iMog and CureMo. “If there are other Trainers here, being able to use my Jobs or transforming would be too unfair...”

"Only in rare times, would you need to use extra powers," remarked Lusamine. "In regular Pokemon battles, it would be completely disallowed. But for attacks from Team Rainbow Rocket and OPS with Ultra Guardians? We would allow it."

"We'd need to get a baseline scan to help coordinate, if you're willing." said Wicke. "So we know what we're looking at."

“Oh, of course!” Nozomi said, nodding at Wicke. “I wouldn’t mind at all! I still need to do something for all your help, though...!”

"Knowing that you have a way to move between worlds? This is a start." said Lusamine. "Let's get you up to speed on the situation, with Team Rainbow Rocket and our situation. With you and your ship, we might just actually start getting off the back foot now."

She smiled. "C'mon, let's buy you lunch while we talk. Wicke, can you make the harbor master arrangements in the meantime?"

"Of course, Faba and I will be working on that."

“Good idea. I’m quite hungry, actually!” Nozomi said, following Lusamine. “I’m sure there’s a lot to go through, huh?”

"Just a little paperwork. A form really, and then we'll get your ID while you're here in Alola. How do you feel about school while you're here as well? There's adult classes if you're interested attending those to catch up on anything. You said you've been to Unova correct?" said Lusamine as they started walking towards Mallow's restaurant.

“Oh, wow, adult classes? Heh, haven’t been to school since I was stuck in Mayfield.” Nozomi said. “It shouldn’t hurt, so I guess I can catch up there! And yes, I have. Even if it’s for a bit.”

"Sounds like you've got quite an adventure behind yourself then." said Lusamine as they arrived at Mallow's restaurant. She opened the door, letting Nozomi inside as Abe waved at them.

"Two please Abe. Nozomi this is Abe, Mallow's father. They're good friends of mine."

Abe smiled and said, "New Faller?"

"Technically. Give us your special Abe, I think our new guest might be a big eater." Lusamine gestured to a window seat and said, "Go ahead."

“Ahaha, not that big!” Nozomi said, laughing as she took the seat. “I must say, I... kinda feel honored by you doing this. Not a lot of people show this level of kindness to strangers.”

"I'm just glad to be out of the office to be honest." admitted Lusamine tiredly with a little smile. "It's been maniac lately, and I could use the break. But more to the point, I'm very happy to help."

“From everything you and your associates have said, I can see that.” Nozomi said. She let out a tired sigh herself. “To be honest, I could use a vacation myself!”

"Well, we'll hope to get you some rest and relaxation before anything we approach you with business." said Lusamine as their food came.

"Thank you Abe," she said as Abe placed down some Alola Plates, juice and some extra sandwiches.

“Oh, thank you!” Nozomi said to Abe before turning back to Lusamine. “No, please, I might be tired, but I want to help in any way possible! If you need me, just ask! Please?”

There’s a lot of sincerity in those purple eyes of hers. That desire to help out and find her way again. New world, new rules and all that!

"Well, if you're saying please then I'll say of course." said Lusamine with a chuckle. "I'll definitely ask for your help. Come, let's eat. And then I'll catch you up to speed with what we're in trouble with here."

“Okay, then!” Nozomi said, nodding before digging into her food. Having her foods varied from other worlds, this was a lot more filling than it would have before hand.

Abe's food was always top notch, and it was a bright, crisp and clean taste that would delight the senses. Lusamine found her appetite to be fairly large that day, as she ate her plate clean. "Ah, this is good."

“Oh, yes!” Nozomi said, her plate equally clean. “I must have been starving, though.” She grinned sheepishly and blushed at that.

"No worry about going hungry," said Lusamine. "If you're hungry, ask around. There's always food available for those who need it."

"Oh, good! Though, I'll certainly do my best to repay everyone I can!" Nozomi said. "So... what now?"

"Now we get you up to speed." said Lusamine, taking out her phone and tapping it. In an instant, a holographic screen appeared as she manipulated a few video records. "Amazing isn't it? A Faller named Tony Stark modified my phone for me, so I could do this."

Displaying a video of a Ultra Hole blooming open and a Buzzswole erupting from it during a television show filming, she said, "Ultra Holes. They are passages between worlds, through time and space. Long since researched by the Aether Foundation, beings living on the other side of these are Ultra Beasts, powerful versions of Pokemon that are basically, well, aliens. Eldritch, powerful aliens."

Switching another screen, it showed her, being abducted by the Nihelego. "About half a year ago, I was abducted by 001 Nihelego and rescued by my daughter Lillie, and her friends. These children proved stronger than I ever imagined and I named them Ultra Guardians."

More screens appeared, of the Ultra Guardians defeating and capturing the Ultra Beasts. "We sent many of them through the Ultra Holes, some of them by chance, some with the help of others. We thought them stopped with the last wave of Guzzlord. Turns out, now they're dropping humans, and other people through the Ultra Holes, voluntary or not. With me so far?"

Nozomi listened intently to the story given to her. It was honestly similar to so many others that she experienced.

“So far, yes.” Nozomi said, nodding.

"We attempted to re-open the Ultra Hole on our end. However, we were met with a lack of success. The first Faller that we tried to send back, or rather tried to pinpoint their homeland was met with a lack of success. We literally opened a portal to a island with a tropical volcano. Multiple attempts resulted in different worlds with known Ultra Beasts, but we kept looping back to that volcano which had started to develop a curious smell of peanut butter." Lusamine made a face.

"Since then, we've continued our work tirelessly, working with the scientists of our world which we have dubbed the Pokemon World. A pretentious moniker, but with the arrival of our allies from what we're dubbing the Overwatch World which has been plagued with arrivals of Pokemon in the last year, just as long as we have been meeting Pokemon and Ultra Beasts? It seems that we've managed to start taking things in a more direct manner."

"And then there's another problem. Recently, a threat to Alola has surfaced. INTERPOL has determined a criminal team, which has managed to utilize the Ultra Holes as transport. They call themselves Team Rainbow Rocket."

“Peanut butter?” Nozomi uttered. “Maybe it could be a clue...?”

She shook her head at that. “The portal bit makes sense. When I ended up in worlds beyond my control, I couldn’t get back until it was solved. And since this Team Rainbow Rocket made off with my ship’s power source, I think things might get worse...”
