May sighed. "You can try to prove it... WHEN courses start. As it stands, you've been arguing with a teacher, and as such, I have power over your grades. Don't think that I'm just going to be impressed and fall at your feet. If you think you can outshine someone without a Pokemon in a Pokemon-based Contest, by yourself, then you're doing that on your own time."

May folded her arms. "Pokemon Contests and Pokemon Showcases and the like aren't about showing off the individual solo talent of the person, but of people and Pokemon working together. With an attitude centered around you and you alone, you're not going to get very far at all. By all means, take my course. But you'll need a Pokemon Partner to proceed with the actual coursework."

She looked at her empty vacant side. "And looks to me like you don't have a Partner."
