Shizuka and Zahra freeze at the exact same time in the exact same pose. It might've been cute if it weren't for the tragedy of their reactions. A pained expression passes over their face, and Zahra slumps.

"I know! I know. I... I know, alright. I tried to-" Zahra takes a deep, shuddering breath. "I couldn't do anything, though. I... I still keep the pieces in my pack, though."

They take out the puzzle's original box; it had shown up the moment that the amulet had been taken apart again.
