Season 2, Episode 3: Good News At Last
While the Fallers, Alolans and other people were resting after the ordeal the few days previous, a news report came onto the television.
“Good evening, this is the Pokemon Alolan News coming to you live from our studio. Today’s top story: Overwatch Confirmed to be Pulling Out of Alola! New reports are confirmed by head member of Jack Morrison of Overwatch, who has come forward with this to say.”
The scene changed to Jack Morrison who stood surrounded by microphones, who looked incredibly regretful. Was it a truthful regret? It actually looked remarkably real to the public. “We regret our actions at Overwatch, and the oppression that Representative Glomgold has done in our name. Members of Blackwatch have been employed under duress of force, and we have to be held accountable for that. As head of Overwatch, I will be taking responsibility for any and all actions, and cessation of aid to the good people of Alola, will be done, effective as soon as we can pull our people out without affecting the quality of life for their patients.”
A lot of flashes went off as Jack added, “My hope is that our relationship with the people of the Pokemon World is not irreparable scarred, and that we can hope to achieve lasting peace with our efforts, what little we have left. Thank you.”
The scene cut to the news reporter. “Overwatch is scheduled to pull out their medical aid as soon as January 14th from the Alolan Region. In other news, INTERPOL has released an official report that the Overwatch Soldiers who were deployed to Alolan Soil have been contained thanks to the efforts of the Pokemon G-Men, under none other than Lance, former Elite Four Member and his men. There is no word on what their target was, other than unrest in the Pokemon region of Alola, but speculation runs high.”
“In local news, the Pilgrimage of Compassion is still on for the end of the month, as Kahuna Olivia tells the story.”
“The Pilgrimage of Compassion dates back to the original birth of the region, where the Radiant One filled out land with light. We travel to the foot of Wela, that evening and carry a candle with us. With it, we hope to bring our love, joy and caring thoughts to those who we cherish the most.” said Olivia on the screen.
“Lastly today we have the Ohana Festival. On the 12th of the month, even among the turmoil and stress, the people of our land, prepare for the New Year, as we celebrate Ohana. Remember that our families, friends and loved ones. Remember the motto of our land for Ohana means no one gets left behind or forgotten. This is Channel Six News.”
