Episode 2.9: Final Mix

Seto emerged from the mists into the Team Rainbow Rocket base, holding the Y Tattoo over his eye. In his hand, he clutched the three God Cards, and the two Master Balls. The light over his eye shone brilliantly before fading. “Ugh,” he groaned, slumping down against the table.

“You’re missing a Pokemon,” said a voice as hands came down and helped him to a chair. “Yielding, you need to stop pushing yourself.”

“Can’t stop… all I am is shadow now,” said Y with a soft whisper. “It’s all I am, just a Lingering Will, a shadow of my former self…”

“Oh, Yielding, you’re missing the finer things with this. Pushing yourself like this will do nothing but burn you out.” the voice said. From behind Yielding was Bunbee, a worried look on his face. “Of course, I don’t think the Trainers realized anything just yet…”

“I lost HIm though,” said Yielding. “The Ring Spirit stole Him. If he opens the Master Ball…”

“That won’t happen,” said the second voice other than Bunbee. “I’ll keep an eye on him from a distance.”

“I trust you would.” Bunbee said, looking at the corner of his eye, towards where the second voice was.

“I’ve been watching them for a while now. After all… It’s what’s good being Unseen for, isn’t it? Bunbee?” said Unseen, smiling at him.

Yielding sighed a little. “At least you two can seemingly play together like this.”

“Oh, come on, you both are among my favorites.” Bunbee said, grinning. “Besides, you all work together quite well.” He looked towards Unseen’s location. “How have the others handled things?”

“Capable and Ready are working towards the next phase of our plan, but locating the Legendary is hard work,” said Unseen. “We might need to wait a while, until things calm down a little.”

“Of course.” Bunbee said. “Between Glomgold’s little stunt and what we just dealt with, things are too hectic. Hopefully, things will straighten themselves out in the end. Hopefully.” Deep inside, Bunbee was a little annoyed - didn’t they learn their lesson from that troll earlier?!

“We’ll get through it. And then everyone will be able to get back to their own lives,” said Unseen. Their expression softened. “A perfect world…”

“Before the red star,” said Yielding, touching his face.

“Yes, yes…” If there was one thing Bunbee honestly couldn’t stand at this point was their obsession with the perfect world. “But, we’re also missing the last piece and then there’s the idea of trying to make things work…!”

“If it works, then we need to make sure that everything falls into place…” said Unseen. “I need to get back. People will figure out I’m missing if I’m gone too long.”

“I must rest,” said Yielding, starting to get up.

“Go on back, then.” Bunbee said to Unseen. “As for you, Yielding, I’ll take those…” With that, he would go to take up the God Cards as well as the captured Palkia from him, the other not fighting the action.

Yielding nodded, handing them over before heading out. Unseen nodded before exiting as well, leaving Bunbee to his thoughts.
