"The Radiant One used all of it's Z-Power to give life to Alola, and blessed this land with life," said Ash. "And then it slipped into a dark state, turning into the state we called Necrozma, a dark state where it had to attach itself to the two legendary Pokemon, Solgaleo and Lunala for power."

"We journeyed to its word, and we discovered it was uh... what was the word?" asked Ash of Rotom.

"Surfeit of light," replied Rotom. "It means -- completely devoid."

"Right, that. So we gave it all of our Z-Power. Everyone, on Alola. All the Pokemon and people."
